I have an offer from HGV to purchase 8,000 points (issued every other year) for $14,000 with an accompanying annual maintenance fee of $1000. This would include HGV Max membership. Is this a "snap up" deal or a "buy" deal? Is it better to buy points on the resale market, even though it doesn't include the HGV Max? To sweeten the pot, I was also offered 16,000 points that I would need to use in the next two years.
