my first audi - ‘23 SQ5 Premium Plus
Hello everyone! already posted in r/audi but figured i’d post here as well :) Picked up this 2023 SQ5 Premium Plus in Chronos Gray about 2 weeks ago and I’m absolutely loving it so far.
It’s a CPO that came off a personal lease with 13k miles. Paid $43.5k, clean title, no accidents. The carfax noted some minor cosmetic damage to the front left but since it’s a CPO I was ok with it knowing there was no frame damage.
So far it’s been exactly what I was hoping for. Had previously owned a ‘19 BMW 330i which was a joy to drive but needed more space in the car as I’m pretty active. Considered the X5 and Q7, but those felt too large. Considered X3 M40i but this just looked so much better in my opinion. Been driving it in dynamic mode and its completely different than the Q5. On highway trips I’ve even been seeing around 30 MPG, which has been a really pleasant surprise!!
In terms of mods all I’ve done so far is added 35% ceramic tint to the front 2 windows.
This is my first Audi, so I’d love to hear from other SQ5 owners:
- What preventative maintenance do you recommend beyond the factory schedule?
- Are there any common issues I should watch out for on the B9.5 SQ5?
- Any must have settings or quality of life upgrades?
I’m interested in making the car OEM+ but I’d like to keep the powertrain stock to preserve the warranty.
- Anything you wish you knew when you first bought yours?
