Second Tier 6 Legendary Chest Armor this week!

Second Tier 6 Legendary Chest Armor this week!

Previously, I posted about the Legendary HEavy Lamelar over Mail armor I found. It was the first I've ever found after several thousand hours of playtime.

Well, I just found another one, this time a Legendary Khan's Coat of Plates.

NEver found even one before, and now I found two in a week's time. Makes me wonder if the code was tweaked in the latest patch or something. Maybe this is just the RNG gods smiling on me.

Posted a photo of the Khan's armor in action. I'm a pincushion, but still alive.

Should I accept this marriage proposal?

Just got an offer of marriage for this gal to marry my youngest brother.

Her stats seem pretty good. Yes or no?

The Best Armor I have Ever Found

I have played several thousand hours of Bannerlord. This is the only time in all of those hours that I have ever found a Tier 6 Legendary chest armor piece.

I found this for sale in a town. Luckily, I had the money to purchase it. I don't know if I will ever see its like ever again.

Ship combat opportunities are much better now.

When Warsails first came out, there were very few opportunities for ship combat other than chasing down pirates.

Now, they seem to have tweaked the AI so that lords will take ships when travelling and will also patrol the coastlines of their lands.

I've had so many terrific ship battles lately, and have finally accumulated some figureheads as well.

It feels like the promise of Warsails is being fulfilled.

Bug that disables prisoner retention perks when at sea?

Haven't played in a while. Thinking of playing a new campaign.

When I last played, there was a bug that disabled all of your prisoner retention perks when you were at sea, meaning that all of your noble prisoners started escaping when you got on a boat.

Has this been fixed?

Reclaimer Multi-Crew Design is Annoying

I enjoy the multi-crew combat experience. I like manning turrets and being part of a multi-crew ship in battle.

However, multi-crew salvage is pretty boring. I own a Reclaimer. The "Claw Operator" has nothing to do except occasionally press one button. You can't even aim or otherwise manipulate the Claw. Literally, just press a button to turn it on and off. The Claw doesn't even grab anything. It just automatically extends and retracts. That's it.

My guess is that CIG chose to separate the Claw functions from the pilot's control to force multi-crew gameplay, but it really doesn't make sense in this context. The scraper at least has a tractor beam and you can manipulate the scraper arm. The Claw Operator job is just stupid. Nobody wants to spend time multi-crewing a ship just to press a button once in a while.

If they can't just transfer the Claw functions to the pilot, they should at least give the Claw operator a tractor beam so that you could manipulate the salvage target.

Not quite a permadeath run

I like to add a bit of intensity to the game, but there are a lot of things in this game that will randomly kill you, so I'm not really up for a strict permadeath run.

Instead, I lay out five pennies on my desk at the start of a game, and take one away each time I die. When I run out of pennies, I have to end the game. I play on Extreme damage to me, with Hard damage to the enemy. This makes combat pretty lethal without turning every enemy into a complete bullet sponge.

90% of the time, what kills me are explosions, but I also die on occasion to bad decisions and biting off more than I can chew.

This is a great self-imposed system that raises the stakes and make me play a lot more seriously.

For anyone looking for a more engaging playthrough without going full permadeath, I'd recommend you give this a try.

Starfield is so much easier without a follower.

I've been playing a game that is (as much as possible,) solo.

I've been really surprised at how much easier it is without a companion. Not only are companions constantly blocking my line of fire, but they are constantly jumping into fights before I would choose to engage.

Andreja is the least bad of the companions, but even she is a detriment when compared with going solo. (And that's not even counting the benefits of the Isolation skill.)

My Ideal Weapon Loadout:

After many many hours of play, and many many credits and X-tech spent, I think I have arrived at my close to perfect suite of weapons for every occasion. (These are all Advanced level. Have not yet got any Superior quality upgrades. Also, no legendary effects past tier 3 yet.)

Sniper Rifle: It's the Resonator Laser Rifle from the Terran Armada DLC. I used to play with the Hard Target, but the Rsonator pretty much outperforms the Hard Target at every metric. Long Distance one shot kills. I bought this from a vendor and used credits and X-tech to give it legendary mods.

All purpose Rifle: It's a Beowulf with some mods, most notably the One Inch Punch. It is remarkably accurate for a One Inch Punch weapon, and works very well at both close and medium distances. I have the "increased accuracy" upgrade module on it, but I'm not sure if it does much to increase accuracy. It will one shot or two-shot kill most non-boss enemies.

Explosive AOE Hellstorm Death Gun: A Coachman with Hornet's Nest ammunition and an extended magazine for 4 shots. The thing that really sets this one apart from other Hornet's Nest Coachman guns I've used in the past is the upgrade module for extra range. The added range on this thing means that you can carpet bomb groups of enemies from a long ways away. Truly a fun weapon.

Bullet Hose: Revenant with larger ammo capacity, lacerate, and Elemental. Depleted uranium rounds for armor penetration. It melts bosses when you are up close and personal with them.

I can fast travel while overloaded in a car?!?!?!?!?

I've played this game for more hours than I care to admit.

I literally just figured out that I can fast travel while overloaded if I'm in a vehicle.

I had no idea this was a thing.

Going to make my pack-rat loot-goblin playstyle a bit more convenient.

Is there any situation where a melee weapon is superior to a silenced ranged weapon?

I'm playing a stealth build and sneaking around killing people with silenced weapons. Is there any reason to carry a melee weapon?

Does a melee weapon have any advantages at all over a silenced gun?

My favorite weapon (the Coachman.)

This is an amazing weapon. The "Hornet's Nest" ammunition creates a big blast area that wrecks anything caught in it. It's great for taking out groups of enemies. It's great for taking out enemies hiding behind cover. It's great for blowing yourself up when you misjudge the size of the blast area or when you accidentally hit something a bit too close.

I don't use it the most, but when I do, it's a lot of fun.

I have never done a ship boarding action before. A couple of days ago, I managed to disable and board a Watchtower Cruiser.

It was insane. A seemingly endless horde of Watchtower soldiers and crew. I defended this choke point and killed somewhere between 50-70 enemies. I was running low on ammo and stims when the numbers finally dwindled. Gained 3 levels. Got 100k+ credits in loot.

Lots and lots of fun.

Decided to invest a bit more in targeting skills so I can do it again. Currently looking for a Watchtower Battleship.
