Does anyone have the Dana Point set?

I’m thinking of ordering this dresser along with the matching nightstands and taller chest of drawers. I’m wondering if anyone has something from this collection and what they think. I’d love to see a picture. I can’t tell if I’ll like the color in person.

I can’t decide between a floating or a built in shower bench.

We’re adding another primary bathroom to our house and I’m having a hard time deciding if I want a full built in or a floating shower bench. I also can’t decide if I want a full length or a corner bench. I had a built in full bench at my previous home but never once sat on it. My husband is doing the addition and is getting aggravated that I can’t make up my mind.

I’m wondering if the floating benches get funky underneath? Also any pros or cons to each. Thanks!

Marina Menta from Floor & Decor

I’m thinking of using this tile for my shower walls. It’s a 24” x 48” polished porcelain. Has anyone used this and if so, did you have any issues with quality? I originally wanted a larger slab type tile but my husband said it would be hard for him to install so I’m setting for this size.

Question about part time vs full time.

My adult son got hired part time by a unionized Kroger here in Michigan as a night stocker. He’s on the autism spectrum (he didn’t tell them) and receives health insurance through the state which he needs. He’s not on disability. He told them when he was hired he can work a few days a week or up to 30 hrs. He started the end of May. They abided by his availability for a few weeks but now they’ve scheduled him 40 hrs last week, this week and next week. He spoke to the manager that does the scheduling and he said he’ll fix it but then said they needed him because people are out. My concern is that he’ll lose his health insurance and not be offered a full time position. Can they work him 40 hrs a week and keep him as a part time employee?

My two sons (17 & 19) want me to take them to Puerto Rico mid July. I’ve never been and have no idea what parts of PR are known for great beaches, food, culture, etc.. Can anyone suggest a safe but somewhat adventurous itinerary and clean hotel recs? What places to avoid? Thanks!

Should I attend a funeral?

I’ve been married for over 20 yrs. It’s been a long and hard road. My in-laws were a huge issue for us from day 1 and I eventually went no contact about 10 yrs ago. We filled for divorce a few years later. His family got heavily involved in the court proceedings because my brother in law is a local attorney. They did things I honestly can’t forgive. My husband wanted to call off the divorce and I agreed. At that time my husband said he was going no contact with his family (he claimed they were treating him poorly because he didn’t follow through with the divorce) and things were pretty quiet for the next 7-8 yrs. Fast forward to last summer when I found out my husband didn’t actually go no contact. In fact, he had been taking my kids to visit his family and having my kids lie to me about it for 8 yrs. My husband had a secret phone, my son had a secret sports car he was keeping at my father in laws because I didn’t want a 16 year old having a car with 700 hp, they had bday parties for my kids etc.
It’s been hard for me to accept this betrayal and I’ve been doing a lot of work to get to a good place because I do love my husband and know he was raised by toxic people which reflect some of the poor choices he’s made along the way.
My husband’s grandfather (99) died over the weekend and my husband and kids assume I’m going to the funeral. I haven’t seen or spoken to anyone in his family in a decade. No one has reached out to me and vice versa. My husband says I should go and support our kids. Our sons are now 17 & 19 and know that their great grandfather lived a long and blessed life. They’re not broken up about it but this would also be their first funeral. I’m conflicted about my presence at this event. I don’t want to add drama to this somber day. It’s hard for me to see past certain things and any advice or input might put things in a different perspective. Thanks!

Self employed and need insurance. Where to start?

My husband is recently self employed and we’re looking at the possibility of needing health insurance. I’m 50 and he’s 48. We’re in MI and have 17 & 19 yr old kids. Do I use a broker or start looking for quotes online? I have no idea where to start. Thank you!
