I give up, a few bad months can ruin everything

In January my motor blew in my car so I started taking the bus to work. Its a short walk from home to the bus stop and its a 10 minute walk to work from where im dropped off. I slipped one day in February on black Ice and really hurt my leg. I tried to limp my way into work and realized it wasn't going to work. I called out and had to call my father who I haven't spoken to in years to come get me. What I thought was a bad sprain was actually a broken leg...

I couldnt go to work anymore so I applied for FMLA and got it. So glad that it was an option but it was less than what I needed to survive, and on top of that I couldnt put money towards fixing my car anymore. Eventually the FMLA ends and I fall behind on rent after I couldn’t keep up with work the way I normally would. At this point, the money I have left doesn’t even make a dent in what I owe in rent or what I can put towards fixing my car, so as crazy as it sounds ive been using it on food instead. It feels strange choosing between eating today and paying toward a bill that won’t really move the needle but it feel good to just stop stressing for a few and enjoy a great meal.

I know things will change eventually, ive been applying for remote jobs so hoping that can save me. My job says I can come back whenever im able to walk around freely for 8 hrs. Im a long way from there. Anyways, I made eggs and bacon 9/10!
