Finally got hired
Well gentlemen and the one lady, I finally got hired as a helper and my first day is tomorrow, it’s 200A service upgrade. I’ve been waiting for this day for a long time. Any headers I’d appreciate.
TikTok prank
So very recently, the location I used to work for went viral locally because some TikToker went in and started blasting some brainrot music and one of my former coworkers that I really didn’t like, flipped out on him and started threatening him, which doesn’t surprise me because that guy always gave me the trigger happy veteran vibes. Has your store been pranked and if so, what was that experience like?
Did anyone here ever meet Bernie?
Of course I’m talking about Bernie Marcus one of the guys who started up Home Depot. If so, what was he like?
Night 2 aftermath
This was my first Ye concert and this was easily the best concert I’ve ever been to. I left my earplugs home on purpose and man I felt everything. This healed something in me. What did yall think?
7 years!
Seven years on this account. Pretty crazy to think that I made this account back when I was in middle school and now I’ve been on Reddit ever since then trust me. I don’t have the greasy hair nerd glasses or crazy acne. That was me when I first created this account, but I had a few glow ups and I feel great.
How loud are Ye concerts?
I’m going to Night 2 and I’ve never been to a Ye concert, this is going to be my first rap concert too. What should I expect and how loud is it?
What have you noticed in one year?
I’m a former MSA and I left about a year ago because I wasn’t getting enough hours to comfortably live and help my family financially so I went to find another job that would’ve helped me. What has the company been like and what have you noticed in one year? just curious
I’m back in the friggin building again
So about almost a year ago, I left the big blue store to work for the orange box. The orange box did pay a little more but it really wasn’t worth my mental sanity. While the big blue can be annoying at times, The Home Depot is on another level of disrespect towards its employees and the stores managerial team clearly has favorites. I have an interview coming up on Friday for my old MST position full-time this time and hopefully I can get the position. My original reason of leaving Lowe’s was the low hours and peanuts for pay. I’m just hoping that I can nail it one more time to come back to the company.
I don’t think I’m built for this
Ok, flame me, toast me, air fry me. I found out I’m not built for the trades like I thought. I was part of the young Gen Z guys who was brainwashed by the elite PR teams my trade schools into thinking I could have a long fulfilling career instead of a mentally exhausting office job, not only did I find out that wasn’t true, it’s also physically exhausting too. I work in demo clean up and it sucks. I wish I could hit my 17 year old self with the butt end of a 12 gauge. Have any of you felt this way and have done something about it?
After two years of looking, I have finally found an electrical company that is willing to hire me. besides my immense happiness of this news I still have three weeks left of work, but I told the electrical company I could work immediately. What would you guys do? Should I just put a notice in or just straight up ghost the store and finally start my career?
