Fresh from the Porsche world...I'm sold on an ND!

I'm very happy to be purchasing a lightly-used 2021 RF 6MT.

I recently sold my beloved 911, mainly because it stopped being fun to drive (on the road anyway) The limits of performance were high enough that you can't explore the limit on the road, at least not for long.

Anyway, yesterday I unexpectedly came across a gorgeous ND2 RF and during a long test drive, I realized it was everything that I had been missing in my 911. It was pure enjoyment and I simply did not want to get out of it. These cars are amazing, I shouldnt be surprised as I owned an NB for several years before I got lost in the Porsche wilderness, but man the ND is a good car.

I'm in my 50's and feel like a kid again!!

Thoughts on start/stop?

I have a 991.1, and it has start/stop which I immediately disable every time I drive my car.

I want my car to warm up quickly with as little wear as possible, so starting once and driving seems better for this.

Today I was surprised to see and hear a 992.1 come out of a parking garage and over a 2 minute period have the engine stop and start multiple times as the driver let a pedestrian pass, pulled out etc.

I would have thought that was a terrible thing to do on a cold engine, and it's winter where I live too...but it got me thinking that perhaps the Porsche engineers know a lot more than I do - or perhaps they are constrained by regulations.

If you have a 911 with start/stop, do you disable it or use it?
