Anyone else bring cast iron on vacation?
It’s a must imo.
It’s a must imo.
Has anyone successfully lowered an AWD V6 gen 2 (late model like 2011-2013).
I’ve researched this for a while now and all coilovers are made for FWD, and no AWD options exist. I even spoke wi the a few of the companies.
There is a Lexus RX 350 spring that will work on some models - but apparently not the gen 2 - something about spring direction.
I do know a custom shop that would cut the spring - but I don’t love the idea and would expect that the ride suffers too much.
Anyone have any success stories?
so a few times I’ve brought a gaggle of people to drag queen hosted karaoke at a queer bar. and few of those times people (pretty much exclusively straight males) have taken issue with the fact that I didn’t give them the heads up. And one time it led to a breakup (not a bad thing).
Most times there are subtle “oh I didn’t know it was that kind of bar” reactions but nothing visceral. And mind you - this is in a thriving, queer-positive town that actively and openly celebrates with pride.
As an ally, I strive to grow and expand my behaviors.
How should I approach this moving forward? Should I give the heads up and try to explain that their behavior and possible feelings of discomfort are learned and tell them they’ll have a good time etc etc and sell them on it?
I’d love to hear people’s pov on this.
Thank you!
I’ve said this a bunch of times before - the Tommyknockers gets a bad rap. I know, I know, Sai King was high on coke - whoopie doo, dude was still a f’n genius and he just let his freak flag fly a bit more into the horror-comedy genre before horror-comedy was a household name.
After watching the boroughs and widows bay - I’m doubling down on my pov. If Tommyknockers was a series and it was directed and produced like these new horror-comedy shows it could be amazing.
I mean that last scene where Gard is rocketing through space at the helm of the ufo??? Brilliant - and so many other scenes. Not to mention the toe-dash tie in?? Iykyk :)
Someone needs to get this done.
I’m listening to The Stand again - for like the 20th time over my lifetime. I first read it when I was around 12-13 years old back in the 80s.
It struck me as odd then and still does - referring to Joe’s/Leo’s eyes as those “strange Chinese eyes.”
All the other characters narratives have a pretty solid indirect discourse (when it’s not actually the dialog or thoughts of the character but the narrative relates to them and takes on their tone) and for most of the characters this technique provides the reader with more insight to the pov of the character - like Trashcan man parts - there are highly racial comments made but the narrator is clearly taking on Trash’s tone/personality etc.
With Joe - it could be coming from Larry - but the way King harps on it always struck me as odd and a very negative way to remind us that he’s Asian.
I mean, I wouldn’t change the book - just an observation.
I have a kicker key 200.4 into KS series tweeters and 6x9s in front and 5 1/4’s in back.
The sounds it tight and punchy.
I’m songs with very deep sub base 30-50hz - I am hearing a rattle from what initially sounds like it’s coming from the passenger side door. But if I lean my head over, it will sound like it’s coming from the center, and if I move to the passenger side it sounds like it’s coming from the drivers side.
Any ideas what might cause this?
I’ve used deadener in all 4 doors and more. Other than this phantom rattle - everything else sounds fab! Also - the head unit doesn’t need to be cranked up to 75% or greater to hear it - it can be heard at lower volumes as well.
Thank you!
