I work in drilling service and its super loud here, after worktime always its loud T, and worsened, I can go to home after 6 days. dont know what to do, go home or not its also not interesting but there also hard. Got tinnitus and reactive tinnitus from rapid Amikacin IV. Looking for support and advice.

Hi everyone. I want to share my story of how I developed tinnitus.
On August 10th, I was prescribed the antibiotic Amikacin (I was on an IV drip for 4 days in total). This particular time, the nurse administered the IV extremely fast—it took literally about 3 minutes for a 100 ml saline (NaCl) bag. On the previous three days, the exact same IV took around 30 to 40 minutes.
Well, right after she rushed it in (I am certain this rapid infusion caused it), within 5–10 minutes, I developed a ringing noise in my left ear. I immediately told my doctor, but he just told me to get some sleep and said it would pass. I couldn't sleep at all that night.
Two days later, I got an audiogram done. The overall results weren't too bad, but there was a drop in the high frequencies around 8 kHz, down to 35–40 dB (which remains unchanged to this day). 48 hours after it started, they put me on a different IV with Dexamethasone, L-Lysine, and vitamins. However, they only did this for two days, and after that, I was switched to oral tablets like Betahistine and vitamins.
My wedding was just around the corner, and then the wedding day came. I had to stay strong and hide how terrible I was feeling because my bride is young and I didn't want to scare her. During the first week, even though I couldn't sleep properly, it was just a high-pitched ring in my left ear. Sometimes it would even disappear completely for a few seconds, which made me so happy because I thought I was improving.
But then, I caught a common cold, and I don't know exactly why, but it triggered reactive tinnitus on top of everything.
I also read online that L-Cysteine (or N-acetylcysteine / NAC) might help protect against ototoxic antibiotics, so I took it twice. Around that same time, I was also forced to take Tadalafil 5 mg a couple of times. I honestly don't know if either of these could have made my condition worse, but I can't be sure...
To make matters worse, I have been under severe stress for almost two months now. It started because of my job, and then the onset of this tinnitus multiplied that stress significantly. I feel completely overwhelmed by everything happening at once.
Another thing is that my tinnitus behaves a bit differently compared to what I usually read about. Many people say their tinnitus is quieter after they wake up, but for me, it's the exact opposite. After I sleep, it constantly screams loudly, and I always wake up in a terrible mood because of it.
Now, I have a couple of questions for anyone who has been in a similar situation:
Does your tinnitus also spike or get louder after sleeping?
If anyone here has experienced tinnitus caused by ototoxic antibiotics, could you please share your experience?
To be honest, right now I am completely lost and don't know how to move forward. Everything in my life was going so well—I was working hard, studying, and trying my best... and now this.
