Hey guys,
I’m 17, from Kasaragod, and I’ll be joining a government college here soon.
I’m just incredibly tired of seeing how our district is treated. Look at any major development project—like the new high-speed rail discussions happening right now—and everything literally terminates at Kannur. Kasaragod is just completely left off the map. We still have to run to Mangaluru for decent education and basic medical emergencies because our own medical college has been dragging on forever.
The most frustrating part is that despite all this neglect, during elections, everyone around us just forgets these basic issues and votes blindly based on religion, caste, or whatever party capsule they are fed. I am honestly not a slave to any political party or student union, and I don't care about their flags or dirty power politics.
I genuinely want to see a good change here. Since I'm starting college, I want to know if there are other like-minded people who feel the same way.
Is it practical to build a small, independent community of students who actually care about tracking local civic issues and pushing the administration to do their job, instead of just arguing about political parties? How can we start something like this without getting targeted by the established campus wings?
Really looking for some practical thoughts. Thanks.
Hi everyone,
I wanted to share a story I wrote titled "Kooraayanam" (കൂരായണം). This is actually the very first story I have ever written. I wrote it for astory writing competition during my Plus Two Higher Secondary Kalolsavam. You can read the full story here: കൂരായണം. I would love to get your thoughts and reviews on it!
Hi, I remember a few months back there was some discussion online about concerns related to Xylem Learning and student facilities.
The issue was initially raised by someone online, but later I couldn’t find that content anymore.
Also, I haven’t seen much follow-up coverage or clear updates since then.
Does anyone know what actually happened or if there was any official clarification?
