From Servant to Sniper.

All right, let’s not waste time and get straight into the backstory of how a servant worker drone by the name of Caddy became the sniper Epsilon.

Epsilon’s backstory, much like the rest of his team, starts before the world was literally devoured by the Absolute Solver, with Epsilon not being called Epsilon, but instead having the simple name known as Caddy, which was also his job only on like most caddies, who are used for golf. Instead, he was his owner's pack mule when it came to his owner's hunts. You see, Caddy’s old owner and their family were known as extreme big game hunters, with Caddy’s owner vehemently following in their footsteps. But of course, this was the future where most animals that weren’t either pets or livestock had basically become extinct. His owner had only mechanical imitations of the old animals to hunt. Even if it wasn’t the same, his owner still took immense joy in it, taking along his only slightly undamaged worker drone, AKA Caddy/Epsilon, to be his pack mule. Because of these ventures, Caddy began creating his own personality around his own owners. This, unfortunately for everyone else, was bad because Epsilon’s owner was an overly prideful, vain, short-fused, ass hat of a man who thought of them self as the peak of masculinity, but immediately exploded at anyone who disagreed with them on anything. Despite all those red flags, Caddy still thought that was the personality traits of a leader, and a man deserving of respect, and would in secret imitate him.

Fast forward to when the Solver was first beginning its invasion with its murder drones; most humans were either hiding in bunkers or trying to figure out a way to get off the planet. Caddy’s owner, instead, looked at the Solver, saw its Murder Drones, and said: “Finally, a worthy opponent; our battle shall be legendary.” And with that thought, he merely grabbed as much ammunition, guns, and high-end explosives as they could pack and make Caddy carry, and surprisingly, his owner actually did pretty well in helping get rid of some of the Murder Drones, but unfortunately, one day when he threw one of his explosives, he accidentally took a part of the building and accidentally crushed both of his legs. His owner survived, but was permanently stuck in a wheelchair, with his family forcibly dragging him onto the escape shuttle that flung them into space with the rest of the survivors of humanity.

On to when the scientists aboard the spacecraft were asking for any worker drones that happened to be brought with the survivors to be turned into their new Disassembly Drones to fight back against the Solver, and the potential host Caddy’s owner’s thought process went like this: “If I can’t go out and hunt this new Apex predator and its pack. Then the next best thing is for my drone to do it for me! With my hunting data, of course, that will mold him into a robotic version of my epic likeness.” And with that thought process, he signed up Caddy to become a Disassemble Drone, but also convinced the scientist to use his recorded hunting data to make Caddy into this elite group's sniper. The scientist, even in this apocalyptic hellscape, with the possibility of extinction, still decided to cut corners and said sure. And that’s how Caddy became the annoying pain in the butt, known as Epsilon.

As usual, I hope you all enjoyed reading Epsilon’s backstory. Tell me what your thoughts are, as well as how I can improve. Until next time, as always, have a good one.

Epsilon The Disassembly Drone Bio.

I finally got around to trying to draw Zeta’s old team members, starting with sniper turn flesh ball Epsilon.

Similar to Zeta, Epsilon, as well as the others and her squad, we’re all made to fill a certain role for our team. For example, Zeta acted as a scout and infiltrator. In Epsilon’s case, if the crosshair and the gun weren’t obvious enough hints, his role was the team's sniper.

Name: Epsilon.

Gender: he/him.

Drone type: disassembly drone.

Relationships:
Zeta: worthless, trader.

Delta: noisy asshole who doesn’t follow directions, and nearly kills me more than the enemy!

Everyone else in the squad: fear, hate, and respect them all at the same time.

Rot and his crew: hazbins and assholes alike, that should’ve been scrapped the moment they were created.

THE SWARM: ….. we don’t talk about what that thing did to me.

Weapons: his rifle with a mix of all different kinds of ammunition, as well as a blade for emergency close combat.

Likes: himself, staying far away from the action of combat, taking credit for other people’s work, his gun, his status/rank, and any form of online entertainment.

Dislikes: Zeta for being a traitor, the other team members in the squad for not respecting him, all these other drones, because they got to leave a more peaceful life than he originally did, and finally the swarm for literally giving him a fate worst then death that he could imagine.

Backstory: So you’re probably wondering about the story of how Mr. Cool, total silence, badass, lone-wolf sniper man. Got turned into a pathetic flesh ball. Well, to get the answers, we’re going to have to go back a bit, but before that, we need a better understanding of Epsilon and his character. You see, even though he looks like a silent-but-deadly badass sniper, supreme! Bro‘s personality could not be any more the opposite; he is vain, egocentric, and a complete gamer-rage type asshole.

Similar to Zeta and the rest of the team, he was originally a worker drone on Earth before the Solver did what it did, and humanity evacuated along with his previous master/owner, and eventually his master/owner offered him up to be transformed into a disassembled drone. He then got sent to the planet, did their thing of mass killing and it was supposed to be as simple as wash rinse and repeat everybody staying in their lane with Zeta being on the bottom of it as well as being the punching bag and butt of all jokes, it was simple it was easy it was good even if certain other members of the group didn’t truly understand Epsilon’s greatness and masterful skills. It was still manageable until the day when a bunch of these rusted-ass hats somehow figured out a way to rub their two-bit memory sticks together and got lucky enough to temporarily trap him, Zeta, and Delta in an old underground bunker that was proceeding to collapse in on them. Delta had accidentally fired in the center of her room, which caused Zeta to trip and fall into it like the klutz that she is. Of course, realizing that the other drones would most likely be doomed by this, Epsilon suggested a tactical retreat after all; even if Zeta didn’t survive the landing, it wouldn’t really be that much of a loss to the group, especially after getting rid of all the real bunkers, and with that him and Delta got out of there.

The only problem is, without Zeta, being the lowest rank and weakest link of the group, that now made Epsilon the new weakest link, and he utterly hated it with the wrath of 1000 suns. He couldn’t do anything about it because the majority of the squad are physically stronger than him when it comes to close-quarters combat and actual strategy (though he’d never admit, that’s their face)

Some time later, though, they had found out that apparently Zeta had survived, but also switched sides like the cowardly trader that she was, and with that revelation, Epsilon made it his personal mission to drag that trader's scumbag back to the group and make her beg to rejoin their team and go back to being the weakest link or face getting scrapped. And he totally had a 100% foolproof plan in doing so! Except for the fact that everything went to shit immediately as soon as it started, as Epsilon had severely underestimated Rot, Zeta, and their crew. One of their members was the horrifying shambling mass controlled by a bunch of robotic roaches that is known as THE SWARM. They proceeded to ambush Epsilon and quite literally rip his body apart from the inside out.

Now I know what you’re thinking: “What does that have to do with him getting turned into a flesh core? After all it’s said, the only way for a drone to have one of those is to have the Solver, and if this guy was made by humans and not by the Solver like normal Murder Drones are, how the heck does he have one?” Well, you see, SWARM was given orders by Roth to retrieve Epsilon’s data and core, as well as a few other machine components in peak condition, as they planned to scan his memory as well as trap his consciousness in an old computer for questioning on things that Zeta didn’t have access to. However, during the scuffle, part of the building that they were in collapsed, causing SWARM to drop Epsilon's core, which, by pure bad luck, ended up in the hands of an infected drone, who then proceeded to spread its infection of the Solver to Epsilon’s core. Afterward, SWARM and Rusty were able to retrieve his core; this then turned Epsilon into the flush ball that we now see him as.

After Epsilon regained consciousness, he realized he was now stuck in this form, much to his horror. He then also realized that these assholes literally just put him in a terrarium like an insect. Of course, after the panic stopped, Epsilon's first plan was to tell these assholes, nothing escapes, and then radio the others for backup so that they can utterly destroy these assholes' base. However, before he could go anywhere near an acting this plan, Zeta, as well as Rot pointed out the obvious that in case he was planning on, escaping and getting the others, that Zeta him, and the rest of their crew were literally made, and came here for the sole purpose of annihilating every drone who MIGHT happen to have the Solvers virus and in case he didn’t see himself in the mirror yet he actually has it now, so what in the world does he think is going to happen when his team sees him infected? Epsilon, finally realizing that 1+1 = 2, decides that the TRUE best course of action is to sit tight here, listen and overhear any information and battle tactics that these guys and the traders Zaida are planning and slowly but surely figure out a 100% escape plan as well as a plan to regain his body before making it to his colleagues and informing them of everything he’s learned.

So yeah, this has been epsilon and a bit of his story. As for what I will draw next, I will either be drawing his past life before becoming a disassembly drone or moving on to Delta, or if I happen to have a prolonged amount of time might do a workshop post and do some people's OCs for free. Be on the lookout for any of that, and it’s always so next time have a good one!
