From Servant to Sniper.
All right, let’s not waste time and get straight into the backstory of how a servant worker drone by the name of Caddy became the sniper Epsilon.
Epsilon’s backstory, much like the rest of his team, starts before the world was literally devoured by the Absolute Solver, with Epsilon not being called Epsilon, but instead having the simple name known as Caddy, which was also his job only on like most caddies, who are used for golf. Instead, he was his owner's pack mule when it came to his owner's hunts. You see, Caddy’s old owner and their family were known as extreme big game hunters, with Caddy’s owner vehemently following in their footsteps. But of course, this was the future where most animals that weren’t either pets or livestock had basically become extinct. His owner had only mechanical imitations of the old animals to hunt. Even if it wasn’t the same, his owner still took immense joy in it, taking along his only slightly undamaged worker drone, AKA Caddy/Epsilon, to be his pack mule. Because of these ventures, Caddy began creating his own personality around his own owners. This, unfortunately for everyone else, was bad because Epsilon’s owner was an overly prideful, vain, short-fused, ass hat of a man who thought of them self as the peak of masculinity, but immediately exploded at anyone who disagreed with them on anything. Despite all those red flags, Caddy still thought that was the personality traits of a leader, and a man deserving of respect, and would in secret imitate him.
Fast forward to when the Solver was first beginning its invasion with its murder drones; most humans were either hiding in bunkers or trying to figure out a way to get off the planet. Caddy’s owner, instead, looked at the Solver, saw its Murder Drones, and said: “Finally, a worthy opponent; our battle shall be legendary.” And with that thought, he merely grabbed as much ammunition, guns, and high-end explosives as they could pack and make Caddy carry, and surprisingly, his owner actually did pretty well in helping get rid of some of the Murder Drones, but unfortunately, one day when he threw one of his explosives, he accidentally took a part of the building and accidentally crushed both of his legs. His owner survived, but was permanently stuck in a wheelchair, with his family forcibly dragging him onto the escape shuttle that flung them into space with the rest of the survivors of humanity.
On to when the scientists aboard the spacecraft were asking for any worker drones that happened to be brought with the survivors to be turned into their new Disassembly Drones to fight back against the Solver, and the potential host Caddy’s owner’s thought process went like this: “If I can’t go out and hunt this new Apex predator and its pack. Then the next best thing is for my drone to do it for me! With my hunting data, of course, that will mold him into a robotic version of my epic likeness.” And with that thought process, he signed up Caddy to become a Disassemble Drone, but also convinced the scientist to use his recorded hunting data to make Caddy into this elite group's sniper. The scientist, even in this apocalyptic hellscape, with the possibility of extinction, still decided to cut corners and said sure. And that’s how Caddy became the annoying pain in the butt, known as Epsilon.
