Twin mom

Hi everyone! I was just remembering that one time at my old daycare job where the director was confused about this situation. So I was giving the twin girls to the mom one at a time and the bags (2 separate bags for each girl). The mom and I became friends cause I loved all three of her kids (not relevant). So once I gave her all the stuff she was holding both the twins and their bags. I offered to help bring one girl and bag with her. But she declined and said she could do it by herself. So the next day the director was asking why we let her go with the girls and the bags. I mentioned what happened and the director let it go. It was kind of funny cause what should I have done if she declined my help. I wasn’t gonna just follow after and take one of them from her.

Looking for an old news story

This is kind of random, but I’m trying to remember a San Diego County DUI crash that I heard about during an assembly at Bernardo Heights Middle School sometime between 2012-2015.

I don’t remember all the details, and it’s been over 10 years, so I could definitely have some things wrong.

From what I remember, it involved two high school girls who were best friends. They had been at a party or some kind of special event late at night/early morning. I think there was underage drinking and possibly drugs involved. One girl was driving, and the other girl had fallen asleep in the passenger seat and wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. The driver crashed the car in a residential neighborhood (I think they were close to home, maybe even in a cul-de-sac), and the passenger was ejected and died. The driver survived.

I’ve tried looking it up before, but I haven’t been able to find anything. Does this sound familiar to anyone, or am I mixing multiple stories together?
