New to the series

Discovered the anime by chance this week and binged it in it in one night. The entire time I had a smile to my face, so much that my cheeks started to hurt during episode 8.

Bought all available manga (6 volumes) and read them yesterday.

Just love Sasakis and Tayamas dynamic! Also I’d love to see more of Obata and Goto.

Can someone tell me what’s up with all these trolls who claim Coco is an annoying protagonist?

They are just rage baiting, but honestly… why come into a fandom when you don’t like the show just to try and stir up drama? I will never understand that behavior… like… what do they gain from that?

Or are there really people out there who are incapable to feel for a curious, sweet and kind little girl, who admires magic, while at the same time having to deal with a heavy amount of guilt? She has amazing character writing and development - personal and relationship wise…. How can someone be so blind as not to see that?

Qifreys origin - a theory

Spoilers for Qifreys backstory, please don’t read if you don’t know about his past and about the silverwood.

Maybe I’m overlooking something but… when Qifrey was found in the forest of Thrystas, he was a child, and I alsways wondered why no one (no mother, father, family member) ever was mentioned looking for him. Now, one possibility of course could be, that he was kidnapped from far away, and the info about people looking for him never reached the great hall, but… I still think that somehow the info of a family looking for an abducted child should have found its way to Beldatuit, shouldn’t it? He probably looked into it himself to try and search for his family, and maybe Qifrey himself as well. And they didn’t find anything.
Another possibility is, that they were killed (either by the brim hats, or way before by someone else, or they died because of a different reason and Qifrey was an orphan). That would explain why we never saw someone looking for him.

Or… maybe… they are alive… but they themselves are now silverwood trees.

What if Qifrey has already been part of the forest of Thristas, way before the Brim Hats experimented with him? And what if Qifrey was born far in the past and has lived during the days before the day of the pact? Maybe he was part of the town, or whatever the forest of Thrystas used to be, before the silverwood grew roots? Maybe in the days be for the pact the silverwood was even used to treat wounds, because it wasn’t known that it would take root and turn the host into a tree? This could explain why a whole forest was able to take root; how else would the silverwood be able to come into so many people, other than it being used for medical treatment (for example after the town had been attacked by witches and a lot of people got hurt)?
Another question would be then, if the Brims looked for Qifrey specifically and took his eye, maybe because the silverwood in his eye was different than other silverwood, or if he was chosen by chance as an experiment?

What do you guys think about it? Do you think it’s possible? Did I miss something? Has something similar been discussed already?

Question about Tyril in Even if Tempest: dawning connections

Even if Tempest will stay in my memory as one of the few otome games with equally likable love interests who each have a very intriguing story and character writing to them. I loved the dynamic between the five main characters so much! Especially Crius’ and Tyrils interactions were written so well and entertaining.
Though I did love all the love interests as characters and enjoyed their dynamic with each other, I still had two absolute favorites as romantic partners for Anastasia (Lucien and Crius). But everyone’s story with her was so well written that - to this day - Even if Tempests fandisk remains the only one which I have actually finished and not only played the routes of my favorite characters. The only exception to that are the side characters routes, and after having seen a glimpse of the CG that would await me in Conrads story, I know that I should stay far away from it, because it would trigger me immensely.

Though, sadly, I’ve seen the complete CG online somewhere, which shocked me so much… >!to see Tyril holding her in place when Conrad is facing Anastasia who is blindfolded and incapable of speach… I think I’ve read somewhere what Conrads plot is supposed to be about and if I remember correctly he killed both Crius and Zenn (though Zenn should have survived because of his condition) - or had them killed - and is now keeping Anastasia hostage, mocking her and torturing her. And doing things way worse than that to her.!< Now my question is… how much does Tyril, in that scenario, know about that and is forced to participate? I really did like his and Anastasias relationship in his route (both in the original game and the fandisk) but depending on what he actually does in this alternate scenario… it might just ruin his whole character and interactions for me… I both fear and need an answer, because being stuck in that limbo of not knowing is almost cruel…

Please no graphic descriptions…

Green flag enjoyers!

As someone who absolutely adores green flags, I’d love to know… are there any green flag enjoyers here?

What do you look most forward to in a green flag route? What is your favorite green flag trope and are there any characteristics you enjoy most or need a green flag to have? How would you define the term “green flag” for yourself or rather what do you personally consider to be a green flag? Who is your most favorite green flag of all time? And was there there a green flag who surprised you?

Side characters…

How often does it happen, that you see a side character - their personality, design, voice, backstory… and would actually love for them to have an own game or route? And which game had the most memorable ones for you?

Personally for me it doesn’t happen very often, but Illusion of Itehari had four side characters that actually had that appeal to me. Tsuwabuki, Hiragi, Karatachi and Narukami.
Since I love green flags and don’t really enjoy red flags, Tsuwabuki not being a LI was especially painful for me… >!because with him there was a character that was already in love with Hinagiku and who treated her gently and with respect for her as a person, but I had to watch her been treated awfully by Yori and fall in love with him instead…!<

I know that two of those listed above will have an alternative route in the fan disc, but since those alternate routs are usually a bit shorter than original ones, I’m still kind of sad…

Illusion of Itehari Fandisc?

Are there any news on the Fandisc releasing in the west? I really enjoyed the main game and hope to be able to play the second game as well. Does anyone know how it was received? Do you think it will be published globally?
