Help me decide! Kbm vs. Controller

Im torn between what input device to use.

I really like the laser factor of the roller but dislike long range in it (I hate snipers so it’s mainly for mid-long range ars&marksmen.)

I dislike how clunky movement feels compared to kbm.

On kbm I really like the fluidity of movement etc. but I’m not rly interested in learning advanced movement strats so idk if basic movement should really be the deciding factor.

I dislike about kbm how you need god aim vs roller players in close fights and the inconsistency that comes with it.

I had positive experiences with both inputs but switching back and forth is probably even worse than deciding on one.

What’s your experience between kbm vs roller, if you tried both and stuck with one?

Help for „new“ player

Hello fellow Apex enjoyers,

I wanna start this of by saying: I know I’m bad and I don’t understand a lot of things so please see this as an honest ask for help, I’m not trying to come across as arrogant.

I have played apex since season 1 veeery on/off (lvl 80 til 3 weeks ago) and never really took it seriously but only as a casual game to hop on with friends.

3 weeks ago for god knows what reason I got giga addicted to apex, once I got a few good games and the feeling of cracked shields and won gunfights kept me playing since. I played a sht ton of apex and heavily practised my aim (kbm player) and climbed from rookie to gold 1 in the last 2 weeks.

Now it very much feels like I hit a brick wall and I came to this forum for help for the following problem.

I feel like whenever I play offensive legends I have the most fun but get caught out quite often by being overly aggressive.
Whenever I play supportive/controller legends, I feel like I am only running after my 50k kills wraith onetrick teammate and it feels like getting carried a lot.

I can’t help but feel very disconnected from my teammates. Whenever I play the aggressive one I find myself thinking „I already knocked 1,5 people please just help me push.“ and when I am playing defensive I think „why are you pushing so deep and dying when we have this beautiful house here“

Bottom line: Practising aim, movement and decision making felt pretty organic to me to learn, but for the love of Jesus Christ I can’t find a healthy relationship to my teammates, even with pre-mades I feel like I’m never really on the same page as them.

Do you have any tips on how I can play better with my team?
