I started my career at one of the largest broker dealers. I since moved around to a couple different firms. I have had one termination but I have clean U5s and it was an easy explanation (just not a good fit). This firm I started off with gave me a verbal offer and then pulled it and never told me why. They told me I had extra checking because I would be a rehire eventhough I was rehireable. After a month and a half of no word they pulled my offer. A month later, I get an email from the same firm for another office. They are very interested in me but I don't know what to do after the first experience and if it will just happen again. I havent made enemies and have had great experiences at work. I can't imagine someone said anything bad about me, I can't imagine the termination had to do with it and there's no inconsistencies in my resume. Very odd because HR gave them my resume to reach out to me. Would love anyone's input I know it's a lot of info. Am I black listed from the firm? could it have been that position specifically?

I had three interviews for one of the biggest wirehouses on wallstreet. I started my career off there. I was their number one candidate and was offered a verbal offer. After 2 months the firm comes back and rescinds my offer with no reason. My U5s are clean (I had one termination which was easily explainable and not a problem), I’ve had no regulatory/compliance/customer complaints, my resume was 100% accurate, I was actually rehired by another big firm previously. I can not think of a single reason for this and the firm won’t give me an answer. Has this happened to anyone with no explanation?
