the risk of not being able to leave, if things don't turn out right, or if your spouse has control over all the income and finances. It's a huge contributing factor to why women stay in a relationship that went very wrong., even dangerous. nobody intentionally signs up for an abusive relationship. sometimes you find out what someone is really like, only AFTER living with them for a while...

FRASIER - Temp. Roz replacement, I thought it was Kripki

- In the " Dr. Mary" episode, after she gets her own show, a temp. fills in for Roz, at the end of the show....

In that final scene of the episode "Something About Dr. Mary," Frasier hires a new temporary producer named Chuck Ranberg .

Chuck has a severe speech impediment where he replaces his "R" and "L" sounds with a "W" sound (rhotacism).

The exact dialogue from the episode transcript plays out like this right before the episode fades to black:

Frasier: "Thank you for your call, Jill.

Well, Chuck, who else is on the line?"

Chuck: "Weww, Doctaw Cwane, we have Winda on wine fwee who bewieves peopew are waffing at hew."

Frasier: [containing his laughter]

"Maybe we can just come back to that one,

shall we?"Chuck: "All wightey!"

I always thought it was Kripki, from the Big Bang Theory......

That final role was played by actor Scott Lowell, not John Ross Bowie.

About the Cannes booing rumor. I was there.

I was there. We watched several different premiers at the Cannes film festival. If you haven't been there, there's a program list of a bunch of different movies that are going to be shown around town at several different movie theaters. So you have to pick and choose what movies and what theaters and times you want to go to.

We got passes that consist of an Id badge on a lanyard to wear around your neck. They said " comedienne." (Actor.)

The usual response after a movie played was a loud applause. At the Beauty and the Beast premier there was a gigantic crowd and a thunderous applause and a standing ovation for the music and animation etc. Amazing sound system, so the music was appreciated in a way most viewers will miss out on.

Contrast the large applause at other movies to the response after Fire walk with me. I didn't want to talk about it while David Lynch was alive, because I didn't want it to hurt his feelings. But since I've seen the question come up repeatedly, I'll tell you what happened. There were so many people there, I'm surprised nobody answered the question.

There were at least 2 showings, I think just the two. I was with one of the actors from the movie. We went to the earlier, afternoon show.

The movie theaters had large capacity and very loud applause at the end of each movie.

But with Twin Peaks ( such a dark, strange movie, some would call it disturbing) the audience at the end of the movie sat still in silence, like they were stunned, or shocked, confused. Silence. For several beats nobody even moved....

Then a few people HISSED.

Nobody "Booed."

So. That's what happened at the earlier showing. The hissing ( by only a handful of people) was surprising. I don't know what country those people were from, because you would normally expect booing if someone was going to show a verbal objection.

Personally, after we got back from France, I watched the video of it at home a few different times, to really take in the complexity and strangeness of the movie .

(I felt like it deserved the chance to be appreciated, considering how much everyone who contributed to its production put into it.)

I appreciated it more each time. It was dark and very strange, but I was fascinated by what David Lynch's mind thought of and created. I tried to just take it in, rather than judge it.

We walked the red carpet and steps, while lots of photographers snapped hundreds of fast pictures. And there was a great party and fireworks on the beach. Some guy who was nice was so excited to meet the actor who I was with, that he followed us around Cannes for a few days, and showed us around town.

I don't know what happened after the later showing of the movie. But at our showing it was stunned silence and nobody moved for several noticeable beats. Then a small handful of people hissed.

❤️😐
