EE Stuttgart or Embedded Freiburg?

I have an admit in Electrical engineering from University of Stuttgart and I have applied for MSc. Embedded systems in Freiburg.

Assume I got in Freiburg.

Now tell me which Uni is better for me in terms of job perspective and Research perspective as well as per my interest below.

  1. My primary interest is Embedded Systems and not Electrical engineering.

  2. I want to study Edge AI to be specific and in Freiburg I can take AI as specialization.

  3. Need a job as soon as possible after graduation to pay off the loan. After that would like to go into research.

  4. I know it seems Freiburg is the clear choice, but I have done a very detailed analysis of Stuttgart EE curriculum and program structure, according to this, if I choose 'Smart information Processing ' specialization I will get Embedded and AI related subjects with some signal processing as my core subjects and I can further mold this degree to Edge AI with the help of electives.

  5. In all, both the unis can teach me subjects of my interest.

  6. Both have same tuition fee i.e 1500euros/semester with manageable difference in semester fee.

Now tell me, which uni should I choose or tell me what other factors should I consider.

I told to assume I got into Freiburg because if Stuttgart is the answer then I won't wait for frieburg university result and just start my loan and visa process for Stuttgart and resign from my job in time(2 month notice period).

So far my friend (studying in germany) and family, are asking me to choose Stuttgart because it's known outside Germany as well and can provide better job opportunities but I have not heard Freiburg side advantages yet, hence this post. So people living there, studying there can you please suggest a uni on the basis of you experience and knowledge.

My profile:

1 year professional work experience as Embedded Engineer.

B tech- Electronics and computer engineering (2025 graduate)

CGPA- 8.91/10
