How to watch Sparks vs Tempo? Very frustrated

We have league pass directly. So we have the App. It's only giving me the option to watch the recap-NOT the full game.

We have Prime. I logged into Prime where i can see the full replay available--but cannot watch it as it has a little lock symbol on it--and it tells me that I can watch it if I buy the WNBA league pass through Prime. I'm not buying league pass twice😭

We pay for every damn sports channel/streaming service that pretty much exists, because that's how my boyfriend rolls tnrough life, and even I am frustrated with trying to watch things.

Is there a way to watch this game?

Jeff Linder at The Gazette interviewed Bria and Ella yesterday

https://www.thegazette.com/sports/college/iowa-hawkeyes/make-yourself-acquainted-with-bria-medina-and-ella-stromdahl/article_b83f4336-2b4f-4bda-98e3-28fd3bc31d47.html

Love this part especially👇. Would love to have seen her face when Randi called!

"“I came here, worked as hard as I could and became a better basketball player. I really didn’t have any intentions to transfer.” Still, Medina entered the portal, just to see what level of interest she would draw.

“I got maybe 10 or 12 calls from mid-major D-I programs,” she said. “(Fairleigh Dickinson) recruited me. They said, ‘We made it to (the NCAA tournament) last year,’ and wanted me to watch their (first-round) game with Iowa.”

She watched FDU, yes. She allowed herself to daydream a bit about Iowa: “In the back of my head, I thought, ‘Wow, imagine what it would be like to play for them.’”

A couple of days later, Iowa assistant Randi Henderson called.

“I was shocked,” Medina said. “I never expected to hear from Iowa, or any Power-4 program.”"

Welcome Ella Strömdahl an 18 year old 6' wing from Sweden

Welcome to Ella Strömdahl, an 18 year old 6' 0 small forward from Sweden has signed with Iowa. It will be nice to have another freshman coming in with McKenna! (Also, I can't wait for the law firm of Stremlow and Strömdahl to get to work lol)

Ella most recently played for RIG Lulea in the Swedish League, Basketettan. Her stats from this year.

Here are some highlights:

Ella has also played in some limited FIBA play in U18 (2025) and U16 (2023)

Knox Guard Cambria Medina signs with Iowa

Bria Medina, a 5'6" PG has signed with Iowa. She comes from Div III Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois. She has played 3 years of college ball at Knox.

https://preview.redd.it/0ve5jbephz0h1.jpg?width=286&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=35e6916ee6a69a38591ebadd3a2bb516b977feba

She was Midwest Conference player of the year, and this article goes into detail about her season and career.. Bria broke the school career scoring record this year, her third year. She was 2nd in DIII in scoring for the regular season at 24.2 ppg.

DIII to P4 transfers are incredibly rare, so I was curious. I find her story interesting at minimum. She is from Tucson and didn't originally plan to play college ball. Then an older high school teammate came to play at Knox, who then brought her little sister & 2 other teammates. They convinced Bria to come to too. The "Tucson 5" upped the program a bit. Most of that core graduated by this year. She won a citizenship/sportsmanship award her freshman year and studies biology. She also ran track and field her freshman year at Knox too. 100 meter and long jump.

Stats this season:

Bria has made huge leaps each year in most statistical categories-3pt% and FT% especially:

Here are highlights from this year:

Kate's Introductory LA Sparks Press Scrum

I really love her every response. Consummate professional, even when emotional. The uncertainty in being a pro athlete, especially for the bench/role players, is so rough.

Really hope things go well for our Kate Money Martin!

USA Basketball 3x Showcase pool play results

Both of the teams constructed from the camp went 3-0.

Team Phoenix has Dani Carnegie, Katie Fiso, ZaKiyah Johnson, and Tori McKinney.
Team Tempe has Mara Braun, Ava Heiden, Imari Berry, and Nyla Brooks.

A few things. Poor Mesa really struggled. Arizona State seems to really shut down the scoring. Phoenix had a very strong day.

The quarterfinals, semis and final are set for today. It seems like there's a high possibility for a final of Phoenix versus Tempe, but 3x games are so short and fast--there's a lot of uncertainty!

I wish there was a streaming source for today's games. If anyone finds one, please let me know.

Breaking down the current roster, roles, and fit in 2026-27

A few days ago, the Hawkeye Report had a great article that went into detail about the role and fit of each player in our current roster of 9.

I am not a subscriber, and it wasn't paywalled for me-so hopefully the link works for everyone...

Mini interview with Jocelyn Faison from last year

It is very quiet right now while we are all waiting snd hoping to sign a couple of more people.

So I just thought I'd post a mini "get to know your player" that University of Georgia did with Jocelyn at the start of last year.

She sounds like she's a great teammate. Very thoughtful and chill. Much more mature than I could have sounded as a freshman (or maybe even now lol). Loved it! And make sure she has some pasta, Jan!

I put the link in the post, but I will reput it here in case this works better.

Former Nebraska player Ashley Scoggin's lawsuit against Nebraska, HC Amy Williams, former AC Chuck Love, and other Nebraska staff, is apparently making progress with him finally admitting he was in a sexual relationship with her.

If you aren't familiar with it, back in 2022, the AC coach allegedly groomed her and threatened her with less playing time etc if she didn't sleep with him. The other players found out on a road trip and allegedly they were allowed to berate and shame her. HC Amy Williams allegedly knew, let the players do this, and kicked Scoggin off the team. Love was fired, but no Title IX report was filed by the University. No punishment happened to Williams or the AD who at minimum handled it incredibly wrongly. The AD left to be the Texas A&M AD.

Scoggin was a kid who tore her ACL out of high school. Rehabbed herself back on her own into being a tremendous JuCo player--who then transferred to Nebraska. Then got kicked off the team. Heartbreaking for her. Now she's still going through this.

There are more long detailed articles which just sound horrific out there, but this one gives a pretty good summary.

I agree with all of these though maybe not the order. I am not 100% sure on Jada Williams at LSU being so high and would scoot that down to 8 or 9.

The link is a gift link so I hope it should work easily for people...

So funny. Loved the "Not Journey" at the start🤣

Poor Strem😭

There was an earlier Tiktok before this season where Layla is

surprised Journey has never eaten salmon or even fish really. (People in Alaska eat a lot of salmon.) So I guess she's unlikely to be eating crickets lol

"Who clogged up the toilet?😳😂

Love seeing the core 5 staying tight and having fun!

I posted the video for those who don't have TikTok. it is Layla's content and can be found here https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8gpb8wj/
