I just got finished epoxy coating this stone. I realized the stamps were fading quickly after 1 use and I want to preserve them. This stone has a hint of renge, and the sides show a nice layer of it buried just under the surface. This one is slightly harder than my other one and makes a very nice polish.
I was fortunate enough to get the ohira suita in the release after this ohira oita. They sold out of all stones in under 5 minutes on both drops.. It had shipping and taxes as well as separate import duties. Im still losing money at this price, but im mitigating the tariffs.

Ive used it and lapped it around 3 or 4 times. It had a small spot near the edge release some small pieces. It took me a while to find that as the issue. I lapped it out and it has been good as gold since.
I bought this from chefknivestogo.com hoping it could do bevel polishing. Its sort of possible with a thick slurry and strict water management. Its better off for edges or straight razors. Seeing if anyone else could use it for those needs. Its cost 385 plus shipping. ($325 shipped paypal GS)

TETSUJIN B2 KASUMI 210 KTIP - SOLD ( $550) This one was from Canada so I had some higher than normal duties and shippi costs tacked on. Make an offer if you think its priced too high. It cane with a couple of what look like finger print stains. I didnt wipe them due to the immaculate finish on the entire blade. Another stunner im sure I'll regret letting go. Dust spots on the blade all wipe off to a fresh lacquer coating.

I posted earlier about a strange ozuku with limited photos. Well she came today. I think I have something really special here. I did 10 light pressure, short strokes, in the middle of the stone. It was buttery soft feedback with jet black swarf instantly produced. I only had about 5 minutes with it before I had to come back to work. I will post more updates as I learn more about it. Someone said it has "museum" grade stamps?
This is a new to me stone that was not cheap. Ive been getting scratches randomly, like really bad sub 1k scratches while aiming for kasumi. I thought it was user error at first, but I found this today after taking a closer look due to frustration. Is this the culprit? Is it fixable outside of flattening it away?
I was able to get these and Im not quite sure exactly what they are besides ozuku and hideriyama. They are massive and cashew sealed on the sides. They shipped today so I'll have them next week to test out. I guess a guy bought a storage unit and it had like 25 of these massive stones in it. He's sold a few not really knowing what they are. I gave him some contacts to reach out to for help identifying and evaluating. He let me buy these 2 after taking the rest down until he figures out what he has.
I made an offer on this without really researching it first. It seems to be very uniform and a good size. I am excited to try it out. Curious if any one knows more about it.

Tetsujin K tip 210 gyuto ginsan - I purchased this used and have not used it myself yet. It has some light scratching on one side only, probably from a knife block or magnet? I was able to find a brand new one and have been using that one instead because I like the handle more. SOLD
Takeda bunka - these dont need mucj of an intro. I got this from CKTG early in the year. Ive used it a dozen or so times. I love it, but for my bunka slot I have a heavy workhorse instead. It came with a foil edge on most of the cutting edge. I used nagura stones to sharpen it and strop it. It is starting to show some patina. sold
