Where do they deliver? Isn't the main gate too far? And what if we're in class then delivery comes??

Hi everyone,

I've been admitted to the MBA 2026–28 batch at NIT Rourkela and have been allotted SD Boys Hostel. However, I can't find any information regarding room allotment or the hostel check-in procedure on any portal.

The orientation notice mentions that students should secure accommodation in their allotted hostel on or before 19th July, but I haven't received any details about:

- Room number allotment

- Hostel check-in procedure

- Required documents/formalities

- From which date we're allowed to report to the hostel and occupy our rooms

For seniors or current students, how does this usually work? Are room numbers allotted closer to the reporting date, or do we get them only after reaching the hostel?

Also, from what date can we start staying in the hostel?
