Skills or Tools?

As an armorer artificer with the skilled feature should I be taking all tool proficiencies, skills, or both? I assume tools but Im not sure. Im also trying to figure out which tool proficiencies are worth taking if I should take those over skills

Newer player help please!

hello! I'm going to be playing a dwarf or gnome artificer (I like short races :D) and I was hoping people could help me with the choices I have. I'm going to go the battlesmith subclass because I love the idea of a companion but I don't know alot of things I should do. I looked up some info but there is talk of going melee, ranged, or even using the companion as a mount

It would be helpful if someone could recommend me a melee version and a ranged version to pick from that would make me useful and or strong! I have no idea what feats or stat increases I should take and at what levels. I don't know which background to pick, armor, weapons, any of that stuff either, so any help is welcome! Thank you!

I've been browsing for a new headset for over a week now and I saw that the HD 550 with a mic is on sale currently on the Seenheiser website and was debating getting it. Is this still a good headset to purchase for gaming? Or are there other headsets I should look at? I am also trying not to go above $400 Canadian as well, if that helps

Also, I'm not too knowledgeable when it comes to audio in general, haven't used a DAC or amp before, so is there anything I should know or buy with these headphones if it is recommended to get them over other things? Thanks!
