How to start preparing for CASPer? Resources/recommendations?

Hi everyone! I’m planning to take the CASPer for my Canadian OT applications and am aiming to book it for the last week of September.

I’m completely new to CASPer and wondering where I should start. If you’ve taken it recently, what resources did you use and what actually helped?

Also, are any paid subscriptions/memberships worth it, or are the free resources enough? I’d really appreciate recommendations for practice questions, mock tests, YouTube channels, etc.

Thanks! 🙏

Looking for a Canadian OT application buddy for the 2027 intake

Hi everyone! I’m preparing to apply to Occupational Therapy programs in Canada for next year’s intake and would love to connect with someone doing the same.

I graduated in 2021, five years ago, and am now getting back into the university-application process. We could help each other track program requirements and deadlines, review application materials, share useful resources and stay accountable throughout the process.

If you’re seriously applying to Canadian OT programs for 2027 and would like an application buddy, feel free to comment or message me!

Canadian MScOT references:

Hi everyone! I graduated with a BA (Hons.) in Psychology from the University of Delhi, India, in June 2021, so it has now been five years since I completed my degree. I’m preparing to apply to Canadian MScOT programs, particularly in Ontario.

Some programs request one academic and one professional reference. Since I’m no longer in contact with my former professors, I’m wondering:

  1. Who should I contact for an official answer—the individual OT program, the university’s graduate admissions office, or ORPAS?

  2. Has anyone submitted two professional references instead of an academic and professional reference and still received admission?

3.Were your references completed through an online form sent directly to the referee, or did they submit a written reference letter?

4.Was a separate confidential assessment form also required?

Thanks

Canadian MScOT reference question (CA)

Hi everyone! I completed my bachelor’s degree at the University of Delhi in India and am now applying to Occupational Therapy programs in Canada.

The program requests one professional reference and one academic reference. Since graduating, I’ve gained relevant experience in harm reduction and community support, but I’m no longer in contact with my university professors.

Has anyone been permitted to submit two professional references instead? Would you recommend contacting the admissions office first, or should I try reconnecting with a former professor in India? I’d especially appreciate advice from current Canadian OT students or recent applicants. Thank you!
