Does it make sense to buy a separate digital camera instead of upgrading to a flagship 'phone?

Hi there.

I'm new to the smartphone world but have been reading a few threads on there which have all said much the same thing - that mid-range phones are now so good that the only difference most people will notice in practice between one of these and a flagship phone such as the Oppo X9 Ultra is the quality of the cameras in the latter.

(I'm biased here because my phone is an Oppo Find X series, albeit an older one.)

If you already have a mid-range phone but would like better photographic options, would it make sense then to keep it and buy an additional digital camera instead? I would appreciate your thoughts on this please.

Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone,

I;m not looking for a precise answer here because I know that's unlikely to happen. but I;m seeking clarification after a bad experience involving my ordering a pressure steamer on EBay which failed to turn up.

What I want to know is, how do things - especially big and bulky items like my steamer - get lost on Ebay?

Imagine that you're a seller and somebody puts in an order for, say, a vacuum cleaner. You take the item out of storage and give it to the courier whose job is to deliver it.

Assuming honesty on the courier's part;

Things go wrong, and the courier fails to find the address that they're supposed to deliver the vacuum cleaner to. What happens then - does it go back to the seller, as I believe it should? It ought to be a foolproof process, surely?

I have a sinking feeling that either someone in the courier's company has nicked my pressure steamer and kept it for themselves, or it was delivered to the wrong address and the "lucky" recipient said; "Thanks very much, I'll have that", and signed for it despite knowing it wasn't theirs to take delivery for.

What measures are in place to prevent either of these things happening?

Thanks for reading this.
