Do you like giving physical affection ?

My GF is pretty high on the spectrum and I'm way lower. My love language is physical touch, she loves being touch but she says that her being tactile feels weird and she has a hard time putting words on why.

I've read countless answers about the receiving end but very little about giving.

Are you guys more at ease with receiving physical affection than receiving ? How is it for you ?

I'm miserable without iron supplementation although I'm not defficient. Why ?

Male, 6ft4, 180lbs, doesn't smoke

**Meds :** I take Zoloft 50mg for depressive symptoms and recently was prescribed Ritalin 20mg for ADD. Iron seems to be the most effective in relieving my symptoms.

**Symptoms :** I always feel under activated, I usually nap everyday, I feel flat inside and have a hard time aligning words.

I did blood work a year ago and found my ferritin was at the lower range although not ticking the box for defficiency (50 on a range of 40 to 250 ng/ml).

3 months ago I learned that different people have different optimal ranges and that it's especially true for ferritin so I decided to supplement with Iron bisglycinate 100 mg + vitamine C 1000mg + copper 2mg. Once in the morning, once before bed. That's a high iron dose, I understand. Also, neither iron or copper alone work as well as both together.

I had instant results : not needing naps and being more mentally endurant, and results that came in the following days like being more sociable and having a more vivid mental imagery.

I took it on and off by lack of discipline and everytime I stopped I would be back to swimming in the mud.

I did a blood test last week to see how my ferritin improved after all the supplementation and I'm now at 90 ng/ml. Which seems to be a very adequate value. I took supplementation in the morning (as per the doc approval) and the saturation coeff came back at 44% (20-40% range).

I have a dilemma where I feel miserable and unable to communicate properly at work if I don't take it, but if I do, I'm potentially putting my health at risk since I have no objective reason to go that way. So now I'm just taking it when needed, hoping to not build toxicity.

I'm writing that post after having taken supplements this morning for the first time since I got my blood work back. I feel so much better, I breath more easily, words flow more easily, I can hold chain of thoughts and much more.

Do you have any idea why iron makes me feel better although I'm not defficient ?

Iron supplementation helps me a lot although I'm probably not anemic

When I take iron life is so much easier but it seems like it's not a good idea to keep supplementing so now I'm back to a low energy state. Any idea as to why that could help me so much when I'm not deficient in the first place ?

My blood work results are here for reference, I took supplements right before it in the morning. Not sure if that would make a drastic difference in the results ?

Low iron binding capacity could be due to homeostasis : saturation coefficient up > binding capacity down.

Lead dev at 1.5 YOE in a funded startup, handling architecture and underpaid. How do I navigate this?

Hey everyone, looking for some wisdom regarding work load and advice on salary negotiation as a lead dev in a French deeptech startup.

I have 2 years of experience, did two internships before being hired full time at my current company. My coworker also has 2 years. We are a team of two devs in a startup of under 20 people that recently raised 10 million euros.

I have been informally handed lead responsibilities — driving architecture decisions and joining project lead meetings but it has not been officialized in my job description or salary. The code we write is a core part of the product. We are now entering a co-development phase with external partners and already in talks with major brands. The company has international ambitions.

My current salary is 37k euros, which is 1k below the bottom of the junior market range here in France. Market data for lead devs in France puts the average around 53k, with 45-55k being realistic even at my experience level given the responsibilities.

My questions are: how do I approach this negotiation given the gap between my title, responsibilities, and pay? What salary is reasonable to ask? Should I also push for stock options given the context? And more broadly, what should I expect in terms of workload and pressure as the company scales internationally with only two devs on a critical codebase?

Any experience with similar situations appreciated! 🙂

Pets = Tameable ?

What does new pet mean ? We can have a skunk following us or on our shoulder like the cat ?

I'm confused as I keep seeing videos of "where to find them" but not "how to tame them"
