Level 50 but still feel like a noob; some questions if I may?
I've been playing my second playthrough after learning some harsh lessons on my first go. Namely don't get attached to your first base, especially if there is hardly any iron nearby!
Anyway, this playthrough I feel I've done a lot more, but still have questions! I play solo.
Mountaineer, is it just me or is it silly that you have to climb one of the hardest in game peaks, in order to learn to make gear that helps you climb better? Is there more to climb that's as hard as Fingerfang, or is it just a badly done journey (as in meet the mountaineer, learn to make the gear, then climb the huge rock makes more sense)?
I moved my base further north (edited the .ini to remove the rescue thrall cooldown), as the run to the interesting places was getting annoying. However I seem to have built in a place where rocknoses spawn (sometimes a skull one), and they like to kill my zero / very low levelled thralls, which is getting really annoying! If I build out into their spawn area, will it stop them spawning? or should I just move my base or remove the bits that are near the spawn zones?
At what point do you feel like you actually felt you knew what to do and where to go? i can't remember sinking so many hours into a game and yet still feeling like I've barely scratched the surface!
