This list is long.. The number of people actually bought a Mac Studio M3 Ultra 256gb or 512gb ram for that cheap is just crazy, 100 sold up to 5500 euro. Scamming is big business.
Just found this subreddit, I wonder if there is anyone here that is vibecoding with local llm using a mac studio ultra of let's say 128gb or higher?
I think most of us use Claude or ChatGPT but what if prices increase or Anthropic or OpenAI decides to limit AI. Although this is unlikely because this is how they make vast amounts of money but still, the idea.. And then there is privacy too.
So just curious as there are even 512GB M3 Ultra's out there, who actually has the experience with huge local llm's and can compare it with for example sonnet 4.6 or GPT-5.3 Codex?
With the temperature going up, what do you do to cool your homelab.
My homelab is in the basement so already pretty cool. It's just a Mac studio, TP Link SG105, DS923+ and a GMKTEC Evo x2 so no need for extra cooling, yet...

Wondering if anyone here can help point me in the right direction. Looking into getting a rackmount 3dprinted for the GMKtec EVO X2 to fit in a small 10 inch rack. Maybe due to the quirky design there isn't one available, but hoping someone here has gotten creative with this.
The unit needs to stay vertical due to the side ventilation layout, so ideally a cradle-style mount.
Haven't found anything yet, so hoping to find some gold here!
