Gem levels weren't nerfed enough.

All these new shiny uniques and almost none will be used because you lose +levels.

Sceptre wasn't nerfed, and +minions wasn't nerfed, so Ravens flock is pretty much dead in the water. The damage lost just equipping that staff is insane. The new companion sceptre, same deal.

This applies to so many uniques. For melee and bow perhaps this nerf was enough, but for caster or minion builds (which ironically GGG added the most cool uniques for this league) the consequence in equipping these items is too much.

I just think +levels really hinders build creativity and variety.

FYI Hoghunt is an Ezomyte Unique and therefor in theory can have its +15 to critical hit chance added to other weapons with the Olroth's legacy rune.

Any good crit based mace builds that struggle because of gearing for crit, that are instantly fixed by this?

If you're scared of tamed beasts being bait, the numbers that twister spirit walker were doing were definitely not bait, so you can always pivot your build easily.

I know a lot of people like the idea of the big boss tamed beasts, but are scared to league start it unless its shit.

Luckily the projectile based spirit walker was doing ridiculous damage, 3m in like 2 seconds is more than enough damage to do pretty much all early game content and probably an incredible mapper for the new end game content.

So if the beasts suck, you can easily pivot your build in early maps :)

Basically don't be afraid to test it! If it fails you dont need to run a whole new character to maps, you have viable options within the same ascendancy for just a quick respec! (you want a good weapon for tamed beasts anyway)

GGG I love all these new uniques, amazing design choice to make meaningful (hopefully) gear drop from end game fights. However please address link levels.

With you adding more and more ascendancies and uniques, with their own skills, your level system for them is jarring.

The breakpoints seem to be 36, 65 and 90 for 3, 4 and 5 link respectively.

This is a bit nuts really? Needing to be level 90 to have a 6 link is crazy, when normal skills you'll be in 6 link much earlier than this.

For example if I want to use raven flock I hVs to be level 90 for it to be 6 linked, but spectres I can 6 link whenever, the barrier is the jewellers orbs.

Basically can you ever lower the level requirement for 6 link or let us use perfect jewelers orbs on ascendancy and item skills?

Level 90 is level requirement for a level 20 skill, do you really think we should only have a 6 link once we have a maxxed out gem?

EDIT: For another context, you get your first jewellers orb on average at like level 30, but the skills dont till 6 levels later? I'm literally doing some leveling testing, and my Kelari has a 3 link whilst i've raw 4 linked 3 skills by now lol

My biggest pet peeve in poe has always been if you want a mapping character, you've always needed a bossing skill or skill swap to get the most out of mapping as bosses need to be killed.

In the new content, just completing maps is enough, so if you build isnt great for bossing it no longer impacts mapping, as that was counter productive!

It's literally right there as the main focus of the trailer, severed in sleep is being placed on the altar, to awaken chayula. Not having that as a drop because swords aren't ready would be the most bizarre design choice they've made for poe2 imo.

If it turns out they're not ready, and they retroactively add severed in sleep when swords are out, that would be so disappointing especially considering they spend money on showing off chayulas weapon in the teaser.

Im not expecting everything out for 0.5 but how can you release chayula without severed in sleep, it's like releasing abyss without a darkness enthroned or atziri without atziris step.

Played a game, went pretty badly, I had no direction, each time I'd try to commit to a board, someone else would start contesting it and be ahead.

Then at 3-2 I got the zed augment, and game over pretty much, went from like a 15 lose streak to winning the lobby.

Seems kinda OP tbh. Like I'm pretty sure I was literally on 1hp 8th and won the lobby

I'm hoping either delve or bestiary, but do people want something completely new, or do they want more poe1 leagues slowly added to poe2?

I think the first teaser was nothing to do with the league but the content update for 0.5.
