Bandana wrapped Bass
I posted a pic under “first bass” and lots of questions came up about the wrapped pick guard. So here is how:
This is my second version. where I also wrapped the knob boomerang plate and sudo-connected it to the pick guard to kind of follow the 5 string pick guard outline.
All peices are cut and then double stick tape top of front and back of edges where the fabric has relief cuts and folded over enough to have the screw pinch thru two layers of fabric to hold it in place.
You can also cut a hole for pickups and wrap the pick guard there but I did not so the fabric stretches over the pickup and does not alter the sound.
The fabric between both plates is connected to the chunk on the knob side and is held in place by screws from the pick guard.
