I apologize 😔

Our beloved coach Koeman mentioned he was under the impression we -the people of The Netherlands- all asked for a 5-2-3.

I have to admit I failed my duty as a supporter of the Dutch team to contact him personally before the match to give my 2 cents.

I failed you guys, and for that I am truly sorry 😔

Complete noob, planning a kids party. Help pls!

Hi ski fanatics!

My kid (11) really wants to have a kids birthday party at an indoor ski/snowboard resort.

My skiing experience: 20+ years ago I once did pizzas on an outdoor brush track for one hour.

SO's experience: none

Our kids experience: none, some sledding on even ground. Sledding from an ~2m high "hill".

We do know what snow is, we even have a few snowy days a year, usually. But our area is too flat to go down anything.

As a parent i naturally want my kid to have the best birthday party, so I went and looked.

I found a place that facilitates childrens birthday parties nearby. An indoor place with actual snow. With a beginners slope and a guide/teacher (this makes me very happy!). They will also provide ski's/helmet/shoes (included in the package).

It's going to be summer here when we go, the place is minus 5 degrees Celsius.

We can rent ski suits for the kids, and make sure they take gloves with them. But what else should be needed/handy?

I've never worn a ski suit, so is this enough to wear over a short pants and t-shirt for two hours in -5 degrees celcius?

Anything else to think about to make this party will turn out alright?

I would really like input from you guys!

Pool etiquette: Sun beds

Dear fellow town folks,

With the sunny weather our public pool is once again THE place in town!

Each day we do our best to ensure our guests are as happy as can be while using our facilities.

Lately we've noticed a rise in the sun bed wars though, which is a little disturbing.

While we fully understand a sunbed is the 🍒 on top on your relaxing pool day it has been getting out of hand. Some people have been getting especially militant about "toweling their sun beds".

While it started as a morning rush, last night after closing we had a first; we had someone climbing our fence in order to secure/towel a sunbed for them and their companion for the next day.

We have the security footage, we know who you are. Come forward so we can talk about pool etiquette.

To stop the sunbed frenzy we have decided to put a time limit on it's use. Each visitor gets one hour on entrance, after which one can lay their towel on our lush grass fields next to the pool, all au natural.

Happy swimming 💦 🌞!

It's a national holiday. Today is probably their only chance to show off their parking skills at the local shopping center as it's usually quite packed.

They made sure not to hit anything in the back while parking their car in two spots.. but did expect everyone driving by to have better spatial awareness to not to hit the front of the car.
