Does anyone want to be friends?

I'm an incoming freshman BA psych student who will be commuting from home (Bay Area), and I'm wondering if anyone wants to be friends! I like reading books, watching rom-coms, taking photos (even if I'm not too good at it lol), eating food, shopping, K-dramas, and K-pop! I'm also planning to get an on-campus job and/or a part-time job in SF.

Cal grant mix up

Imma not sugarcoat and just get to the point. So basically I should be eligible for Cal Grant but CSAC says that I'm not eligible for it. Recently, I was flagged for the FAFSA verification process, which I then completed and my SAI decreased. Since my SAI was higher, I'm assuming that CSAC thought that my parents incomes and stuff were higher than it actually was which led to this "misunderstanding." Also my school of attendance is wrong so I'm not sure who to contact to correct it and ask for an appeal since I can't change it myself. What do I do and any advice? Which school do I contact since there's the school that I'm actually attending and the school that I thought I'll be attending. I'm also planning to call CSAC and get it figured out tomorrow.

College app recs

As an incoming freshman, what apps do you think are a "must-have" for college? Or what apps do you think are very crucial to being successful in college classes, other than the usual google calendar/other calendar app? I've heard of people using recording apps to record lectures during class and then putting them into their own words after class and making notes to study but what kind of apps do people use to record?

What classes do you recommend first years take for their first semester?

I'm an incoming first-year for fall 2026, and I'm wondering what classes I should register for at orientation that aren't too hard and are fun classes with professors that aren't too strict or difficult to pass. What classes do you guys recommend for me to complete as a BA psych major and to complete my GE requirements?

I recently ran out of moisturizer and I need some affordable recommendations! My skin is quite dry and sensitive and I need a facial moisturizer that I can use for both night and day time.

I'm currently on the UC Irvine waitlist, and I was looking at Zot aid. Should I submit the documents (such as FAFSA verification) I need to send now, or wait until I get off the waitlist?
