Just got this in. The Zett special edition Prostatus gloves have some top notch craftsmanship. Right up there with Mizuno Haga and Ryu. While the infield line of the Special Edition series often leans into European Kip for responsiveness, this mitt opts for high-density, Prostatus North American Steerhide. Below is the details about the mitt.

This Zett featurez professional-grade leather processed in the Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, the epicenter of world-class baseball leather production. The hides undergo a proprietary multi-stage tanning process specifically designed for Zett's Pro Status line, balancing high-tensile strength with the refined, consistent grain finish required for professional-level equipment."

It is a "Mori-type" pattern, named after the legendary Japanese backstop Tomoya Mori.

Unlike the wider, flatter mitts common in the States, this is a 'Tate-gata' (vertical) profile. It’s compact by design. The goal isn't just to block the ball; it’s to funnel it. By shifting the hinge to close thumb-to-pinky, it creates an incredibly deep, secure pocket right where your hand needs it for an instant transfer.

Baseball express/SBF exclusive. Rawlings PROBH3HTG 13”. Despite being used for men’s softball the glove still looks and feels fantastic.

11.5” and shaped in Japan. Euro Kip. The break-in is perfect. Love the yellow tan liner and contrast stitching. The craftsmanship on this is on par with Haga, and Ryu IMO. The glove was an early release/pre production model before the retail release. MBIF75 is the model number stamped on the glove. The retail version is MB75. I have heard from other glove collectors/dealers that the overall quality is better from the build to hide selection. Glove has had some basic shaping only. Never played catch.

Mookie is using his own brand of glove now and it seems this will be the last Mookie model made.

I am open to possible trades if you don’t have the cash. For trade value I am using $450.

Pre-production gloves—often referred to as Salesman Samples—are built before the full retail run to be shown to dealers and at trade shows. Because these gloves are intended to "sell" the line to high-volume buyers, there is a strong incentive for the factory to select the absolute best hides from the Pro Stock Select leather pool.

Supersnakeskin on this is awesome. This glove though man, no one is force squeezing this thing. Hella solid. No ready to game with this glove. Exclusive to Instagram a few years ago. Gorgeous glove.

This special edition 285SG Zett has blown me away with their craftsmanship. Made in Japan. This color is called Pastel Brown. In the sun it’s got some shimmer to it. Made with European Kip. Yes, I had a bit come in at the same time. 😁

My first 1724. Fit is fantastic! Made for two in the pinky shifted grip. Nicest super snakeskin I’ve seen in a glove.
