Is there another way besides CalCareers?

Ive submitted about 100 jobs between this year and last year on CalCareers, mainly for policy analyst, legal aide, or legislative assistant positions. I've taken the eligibility exams, I have the experience, when I apply OUTSIDE of CalCareers, I get interviews fine. But once I want to work for the state instead of a nonprofit or for profit company, then it becomes almost impossible to get even a response.

How are you guys actually... getting your jobs? I feel like Im going insane.

Let me know what you guys find to be helpful, or if its really a 'who you know' sort of situation.

6 Index alignment: I like what I see so far I mean maybe a misalignment with the crown at 6 but I don’t mind it

7 Dial Printing: Clean and crisp. No obvious printing flaw visible.

8 Date Wheel alignment/printing: N/A

9 Hand Alignment: Hands appear straight and properly aligned.

10 Bezel: Bezel looks good overall.

11 Solid End Links (SELs): not sure. im not sure how to properly QC these.

12 Timegrapher numbers: Rate +4 s/d, Amplitude 287°, Beat Error 0.1 ms pretty good

13 Anything else you notice: This is much better than my previous one, the color looks better, the dial markers are actually straight here, and the swiss made text looks gen. the crown centering on the bottom is a little to the left, but way better than the previous, i can live with it. seems like thats a problem on these OP dials.

Developing an eReader

Hello all. I am a fellow ereader user, and im developing an ereader using the shell of the xteink x4, built around crosspoint OS. im in the developing phases and I was wondering if you guys could tell me specific features you might want in an ereader thats not really on the market currently. Here are some features im currently working on;

slimmer bezels all around
replaceable Li-ion cell
debating touch screen, and with it built in dictionary, etc.
thicker form factor to allow for significantly longer battery life.
repairability and replaceable eink screen.
6" eink screen instead of 4.2"
IPX Water resistance, although I havent yet gotten replaceable battery and waterproofing to work at the same time.

Let me know if theres anything else you guys would want in a eink reader. Im trying to have this be a sub $100 product.

6 Index alignment: I like what I see so far, but the only thing is the crown at 6 with SWISS MADE looks off, specifically the D and E, and the crown isnt aligned with the marker. not sure what you guys think.
