New 2026 Badlands. What are these 1 2 3 buttons on the driver’s door?

For anyone interested, my recent data show that dissonance resonators yield echo locators 26.5% of the time, vs. 73.5% for inverted mirrors.

My method for hunting:

1. Find a somewhat flat dissonant planet that has resonators and a sentinel pillar.
2. Disable sentinels via then pillar.
3. Pick a compass heading, and slowly fly that way in a sentinel ship, swaying side to side as I go (like a shark.)
4. Watch the HUD for the resonator symbol (white stick on purple background.)
5. Blast them from the air with the positron ejector.

Be aware. Resonators are sometimes buried (maybe 1 out of 30 or so) but still show up on the HUD. You can land and dig them up with the terrain manipulator if you want, but I usually skip them once I realize they’re buried.

…you can build slightly outside of the doorway to your freighter’s “normal” buildable area.

This guy’s job is to make sure the Navigator isn’t goofing off.
