I'm not a Collector by any Standard, but I I like something I'll save for it. I switched from Spyderco to Benchmade as my daily carry when I discovered the griptilian with the sheepsfoot blade and the thumb hole opening. I much prefer this to thumb studs.
I have lusted after a 940 but never bit for this reason. I have a Benchmade auto fact that is great, so I decided to save and order a 9400.
I was so disappointed when it arrived. The button release was full of grit and would not depress smoothly. After paying $350, I expected it to feel like a quality tool. It did not. I returned it. Not sure if this particular sample was substandard or if this is an issue with this knife. I didn't want to gamble $350 to find out.
