We are currently taking our end of the year diagnostics. I still have several students that need to finish, but also several that are finished. So far, my median growth in math is 64% and reading is 6%. It's so defeating to look at.

Mind you, a decent number started in yellow or green and maintained green or went up to green from yellow, but there's also some that made very few points of growth or even went down a few points (hence my current percentages). A handful met their typical growth, and one or two met stretch growth so far, but that's about it.

I'm not trying to let it deflate me, but my school pushes and pushes the data onto staff and students and I'm feeling the added pressure as well. I recently had an evaluation and all went well. While this data is not tied to it, I also know that it just looks bad and these scores are pushed on students heavily with slides showing the data percentages for all grades.

I don't know what my purpose is with posting this. Just trying to shake off this feeling that I'm inefficient despite doing this job for well over a decade.
