If you actually look at the math for a Pre-Errata Luffy, it’s insane. The average pull rate is 2 sealed Blue Bottom Romance Dawn cases. With TCGplayer floors at $100k and eBay hitting up to $200k, you’re basically dropping a $250k on sealed product just to chase it. But it’s not just the price of the cases, this card is literally One Piece TCG history. It’s a massive error from back when wording completely broke the game mechanics. The original text forces you to restand a card ("Set 1"), while the corrected version gives you the choice ("Set up to 1"). On top of being the first major Luffy chase and a legendary error card, the true scarcity is a total mystery. PSA didn't split the labels, so they lumped everything into the same 700 total PSA 10 population. The actual pre-errata population is easily a fraction of that. Honestly, a $25k minimum baseline is completely justified. The fact that this card is only fetching around $7k right now makes absolutely no sense.

I’m thinking about buying one of these DON!! cards because honestly, it looks amazing.

The price seems to be around €4,000 for a clean copy, but before I make the jump I wanted to ask for some opinions.

Does anyone know roughly how many copies are actually out there? From what I understand, there should be around 340 copies total if it was 34 World Final players × 10 DON!! cards each. But is that the real number, or are there likely way more copies because of staff, judges, extras, replacements, etc.?

Also, do you think €4k is a fair price for this card, or is it too much right now?

Would really appreciate some opinions from people who know the promo / high-end OP TCG market better than me. Thanks a lot!

Makino with the luffy and shanks in the background is the only reason id get this card, and honestly if you like it i think its a solid pick up, and its from sunohara and the otama is from SOWSOW so great for art collectors. What are yall thoughts on the cards?

Buddy at the shop said it’s a coin toss with the spec at the top. What do you guys think?

Hi, hatte diese Karte hier schon mal gezeigt. So eben hat mich bei eBay jemand aufmerksam gemacht das BGS diese Nami mit einem falschen Label versehen hat. Das ist wohl die O-Nami aus dem Dashpack, obwohl ich sie zu 100% aus einer Illustrator Box gezogen hatte.

Is there any real way to try and figure out the opportunity cost between sps and buying promos and stamp cards for a hold of 5ish years.

Where can I get a pop count on these sets (1st, 25th) seems to be some manipulation on the 1st and wondering if there’s a low pop count on these vs the other sets ?

So I’m wondering what’s a grade I could get with this… also if it’s better to go to Beckett or PSA I know PSA is easier to get a 10. From what I’ve seen from other 10s with this card is that the back is slightly off center which is found in this card. I have a trigger finger so I bought it already without consulting.

Watch out for fake shill bidding from burner accounts

I want to start by saying I don’t grade cards often, in fact this is the only card I’ve ever graded. I pulled this card back around OP09, and ended up sending it in for grading mainly just to protect and authenticate it. It came back a 9 and while I was slightly bummed it didn’t get a 10 I wasn’t too worried since I wasn’t really intending to sell. At the time the price between a 9 & 10 was so negligible I thought about selling this and upgrading to a 10, but decided against it because this was the copy I pulled and it had sentiment. Ever since then I have constantly had people tell me I should crack and resub or send it to Beckett for atleast a guarantee 9.5, this is where I’m looking for help from this sub. Yet again I’m no grading expert, and funny enough at initial glance I didn’t thing the centering on this copy was too bad. I can definitely say even to me now I would say it is a noticeably off center copy.

So here are my questions for the sub.

1. ⁠Do you think this copy is worth cracking at all, or just leave it as a 9 atleast sealed and protected?
2. ⁠If I were to resubmit for grading (as a raw card, not sent in slab) should I bother retrying with PSA, or do you think an almost certain 9.5 would be the better choice?
