I don't know what it is, but Monster gives a certain nostalgia that I've never experienced in real life. I'm not European, and I wasn't around for the 1990s, yet somehow I feel a sense of nostalgia, history, and normalcy (it was beofre the time of social media after all). I also love European architecture, culture, and history, so that might contribute to it.
I know it’s common for older gentlemen, as well as younger adults to still see men as “kids” at a certain age, despite technically being adults. Is there a certain age which you realized you no longer felt or realized you were a”kid” and just a regular man? I’ve heard men say anywhere from 20-30, but I’m interested on what you have to say.
It would be nice to find a group of guys who have a similar way of thinking in this area.
Might as well see some real life action and the occasional fight on a night out of drinking.
The only official grouping are the tri cities of Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, and Port Moody, because of their proximity to each other, as well as other things. So besides those ones.
I’ve interacted with a lot of people online and in real life, and I am surprised by how educated (many have university degrees) and intelligent they are. They are knowledgeable about philosophy, history, etc. Yet, many of them are unemployed or working low wage jobs. I don’t know, it seems like in the past many of these people would have been successful in life, but that hasn’t been the case from what I’ve seen. What do you think? Have you seen this as well?
I’ve been a bit out of the loop when it comes to BC politics for about a year and a bit. Before then, Eby and the government seemed to be pretty well liked, especially amongst left leaning people, as well as people on Reddit. Now I’ve started reading more about BC politics recently, and it’s like Eby did a complete 180. I’ve heard somethings here and there, but it’s a bit confusing to put the bits and pieces together since it’s been a while. Does anyone want to catch me up on the latest, and perhaps explain why you personally are frustrated with the current state of the government.
