Francis I
Hello all. I’m thinking of doing a post for my friends on fb about the other 2 of the main players in the reign of Henry VIII - Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor and Francis I or France. I want to focus on all aspects. Henry is seen as a tyrant yet in his heart he was a scared man whose father had told him about the Wars of the Roses not long before. His dynasty was just starting. He had the pressure of what happened to Henry I when King Stephen took the throne from Empress Matilda.
Charles V lost his wife he loved and grieved dearly and wore black the rest of his life.
I was wondering if there was such a thing in Francis’ life? We all have things that hurt us, or we stride towards no matter what, due to us needing something in life.
Can anyone help me? I’ve not gotten to him in my hobby only parts when learning about Henry VIII.
