Fairfield Trash Pickup

Just moved to Cypress Fairfield and I am trying to locate the trash company. Is it still through Republic Services and what is the trash schedule?

snake advice

Just moved and upon our walk through (day before move in), we saw a black baby garden snake in our restroom. it was so small that I initially thought it was a worm. My husband removed it. The house has been vacant for 6 months or more. Yesterday, I asked our pool guy if he seen any sightings in the yard and he stated he seen one slithering away in the yard towards the retention pond six weeks ago and that was it.

We also noticed a big gap in the back door and were possibly thinking the snake got in that way. I don’t see any shedding in the home and the snake sighting in the bathroom was two days ago. i‘m terrified of the possibility there’s more or where the entry point is.

How to get ahead of the problem if it is one and what preventative measures can I take for my yard and home? of course repairing the door is one.

Water damage, or?

We just moved into a new rental and unfortunately it was not cleaned before move in. As I was cleaning the kitchen, I noticed this in the drawer next to the sink. it is dry and swollen. Would you say this is mold/mildew or prior water damage? My husband thinks it’s paint. I tried to remove it with a wipe and it’s not budging.
