Going to Braves Brewers this Friday, any best things to see in or around the stadium?

PGA National

Won an Instagram giveaway for 2 nights and 2 rounds at PGA National in Wedt Palm. 1 round is on the championship course, the other I get to choose from one of the other 3 courses on property. Has anyone been down there and have suggestions between those options?

I (28M) have an extra day on the end of my work trip to the southern CA area so I am planning to drive down to SD for a day to go to a Padres game. I’m trying to visit every MLB stadium and this will be 14/30, and everything about the stadium looks great so I’m very excited. I wanted to post here for some suggestions on how else I should spend my limited time in what seems like a great city.

I will get in late on 5/21, and then have all day 5/22 free before the game that night. I have booked a room at a Marriott property in the downtown area.

I am a pretty avid golfer, so right now my idea is to either play over at Coronado golf club or Balboa park. Open to suggestions if there are any golfers in the group, I’m leaning Coronado because of the proximity to my hotel and ocean views. Tee times open 14 days in advance so will snag on on Friday.

Other than golf my only 2 ideas are the USS midway or SD zoo.

What I’m looking for help with:

- best things to do at or near PETCO stadium
- best place for drinks / dinner / lunch, bonus points if walkable to the downtown area
-other places to go or things I should see in SD
- if anyone would care to join me for any of the activities listed I’m game to discuss that as well. I don’t often meet strangers from the internet and am excited for a solo adventure but am also an extrovert who loves to make friends if anything sounds appealing as you read my post.
