Took me forever but I finally finished my first non-kit piece

I kinda wish I went with gray fabric as my medium but I'm happy with the results regardless. It was good practice doing French knots and long and short stitching

I am working on my first original pattern and I was wondering if y'all had some advice

Hello all! I am getting ready to work on a pattern I drew and I was wondering if I could get some stitching recs. I was thinking of doing the whiskers as a running whip stitch and doing satin stitch on the mouth, pupils, and teeth. What should I do for the eye color? A satin stitch might be simplest, but i wanted to branch out a bit and try new stitches. Same thing for the nose and nostrils. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Also cat tax, thats the model. His name is Chadwick and he is much larger now

Does anyone remember a place called Safari Time?

When I was a wee lad (early 2000s) we went to a couple birthday parties at a place called Safari Time. It was an animal-themed birthday venue in Timonium that had a number of captive animals kids could view/interact with. I definitely remember a boa constrictor but there might have been a primate or two as well. I havent been able to find much information online so I figured I'd ask here
