Steam Page Repurpose for another game IF NOT YET APPROVED?

I have a silly quick little game I want to try to get in for the next Steam next fest (Aug 31st reg deadline).

I would be submitting the Steam Page today and hope it gets approved before Aug 31st. But say Steam rejects the page for w/e reason. This would give me less confidence I could make the Aug 31st deadline.

Could I then repurpose that game page (and $100 fee) for a totally different game (so totally different name + screenshots)? And it would be completely fine I assume (I would just join a diff Steam Next fest with this other game).

Thanks

Those that mostly work from your rental. Is a window a must?

If you mostly work from your aibnb/hotel/etc.. do you require a window with sunlight or is that not a big deal for you?

How much of a premium are you willing to pay?

For me it is key especially for longer stays. I will skip a city / country if I cant get a window with sunlight in my price range.

Do you listen to music/podcasts/etc while you work.

For me I sometimes do depending on the type of work I am doing.

But now I am trying to allocate at leas 4hrs per day of silent focused deep work or study to see how it feels.

How many hours per week do you spend on your game

Just curius how you allocate your time and what the rest of your time goes to?

E.g x hrs on art. Y on programming. Z on misc / exercise / job / etc.

Best resources for learning game AI (not LLMs/ML)?

Hello all,

Wondering what you consider the best resources (paid or free) for learning game AI? I know it's quite a wide topic but want to leave it open ended. Foundational stuff too (like prereq math, etc)

For places you like and know, how much time do you reserve upfront?

I know many of you don't always like moving around all the time. Many opting to stay up to 6+ months in one place.

If you already know a place (rebooking same apartment/hotel etc). How long do you "commit" to (whether thru a platform like airbnb or via an off-platform agreement with the owner/manager)? 1 month at a time, 2 months, or the full duration upfront?

I usually like to do 1-2 month chunks to keep some flexibility.

Recommendations for where in MX to settle. Hot weather only ? Thanks!

Hi, I decided to settle in Mexico after all. I was looking at San Cristobal in Chiapas but seems it's a little cooler than I personally like. I prefer much hotter weather.

I am looking to find a "2nd tier" city that is more affordable but still relatively safe. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. I will probably try out a few cities to see how I like each. I do enjoy the beach but maybe that's out of my budget.

I also enjoy going to local meetups and events to meet ppl.

Thanks again!

Monk Mode City/Country to Build Business (cheapest)?

If you had to maximize your runway to build your own [digital/online] business. Which city would you recommend and why?

I believe your environment affects you in a big way and can make habits/goals easier or harder to manage.

Ideally

- cheapest possible with good internet ($500-600 a month all in, including visa runs, would be ideal)

- conducive to focusing on work/business

- long visa for USA passport holders (so ideally at least 6 months)

Only countries I have residency are Mexico and the USA. But Mexico is more expensive than Asian countries it seems, even factoring in Visa Runs. The plus side of Mexico = less moving. I believe I can do $800/month in some Mexican cities (have done it before).

I have a VISA for 6 moths for India. Currently in Europe. Considering Goa or another place but it's monsoon season. Goa seems quite cheap. Might be possible to do it under $500-600 a month all in, but not as reliable internet/power.

Considering Vietnam too (have been before). Maybe other countries in the area. I wanted to go to the Philipines too (because of english + 3 year visa) but it seems it's just as expensive as Latam/Mexico?

Concerns:

- too much isolation in asian countries (due to language). but could be a plus side to focus?

- pollution in asia/burning season

- latam is great but maybe too fun/distracting/social for focused work.

Fluent Spanish Speakers who avoid LATAM (prefer maybe SEA /Asia)?

  1. Wondering why you don't prefer LATAM ? Where are you now?

  2. Where are you originally from?

  3. Do you travel alone. Any more details about yourself you can provide? :)

Thanks

If it wasn't for time-zone issues, which area would you pick SEA or LATAM

If time zone wasn't a thing, would you still pick the zone you are in now? Which zone is that (LATAM or SEA) and if not, why not?

Your primary reasons for being a digital nomad?

MAIN:

How would you rank your 3-5 primary reasons for being a digital nomad?

EXTRA:

I know some do it for lower cost of living with higher quality of life compared to their home country. Others to push themselves outside their comfort zone. Maybe some just like seeing new places, trying new food, or for language immersion. etc.

So I wonder if you have this formalized and if so what are your main reasons/motives? And what has that led to? Maybe a brief summary of your life as DN so far (places visited and for how long , and future plans)? Have your reasons remained static or have they evolved?
