First 100 mile road trip with the fam.

I can’t believe the mpg. My dog is extremely happy too with his new truck

Looking for a better home for my 03’ SE (portland OR area)

Hey there, recently got a promotion that requires me to drive quite a lot and have a bit more of a “professional” looking vehicle. I’ve been mostly using my motorcycle to commute and unfortunately I just haven’t been giving the love to my Xterra that it deserves the past couple years. I went ahead and placed a down payment on a new car (I’m traveling currently) and I figured I’d at least see what the trade in value they’d offer. Really to no surprise they offered me 900$. I’d much rather see it go to someone who would appreciate it or at least be able to benefit from parts from it instead of auction.

I would hold onto it if I had the space at my house but alas, I don’t. The gas mileage lately (premium gas only) has also been a bit difficult.

It leaks a little oil (I think it’s the rear main seal), but it’s never really been that big of a problem I just check it every 4-500 miles and top it off, it’s never more that 1/4 of a smaller bottle to top it off. The 4WD and everything works great on it, lots of epic camping trips have been had. The radiator cracked last year and I replaced it, along with all new belts. It has upgraded shocks on it (Bilsteins). Pretty much brand new kenwood stereo with Apple CarPlay/ android auto and a backup camera. It’s got 230k on the ODO. We took it to Leavenworth during the holidays and it handled it without any problems. The interior is decent minus a rip on the side of the drivers seat. The paint is fading/flaking off in a few places. Clean title.

I’m out of town on vacation currently but I come back on 6/2. If anyone has any interest that’s in the portland OR area or surrounding let me know. If you can match the $900 the dealer offered it’s yours. If I don’t hear anything I’ll be just trading it in once I go to pick up the new car. Again, it would be sweet if it went to a better home than the trade-in route.

Cheers!

P.s. I’m also bummed to be no longer part of the club. Y’all have been awesome on this sub. These rigs are friggin excellent for adventuring. One day I’m sure I’ll buy another if I end up having space for a project.
