80's Trend मध्ये कोणत्या नाटकाने बाजी मारली?

मराठी रंगभूमीचा अनभिषिक्त सम्राट, प्रशांत दामले काका, पुन्हा एकदा आपल्या चाहत्यांना आनंदाची बातमी देत आहेत! त्यांच्या सध्या गाजत असलेल्या "शिकायला गेलो एक" या नाटकाचा ३३३वा प्रयोग १२ सप्टेंबरला विलेपार्ले येथे रंगणार आहे.

आता हा आकडा वाचून काहींना वाटेल "याचं काय एवढं?" - पण प्रशांत दामले हे नाव आणि विक्रम म्हणजे एकाच नाण्याच्या दोन बाजू. लिम्का बुक ऑफ रेकॉर्ड्समध्ये यांच्या नावावर आधीच पाच विक्रम आहेत - एका दिवसात तीन वेगळ्या नाटकांचे प्रयोग करण्यापासून ते वर्षभरात ४६९ प्रयोग करण्यापर्यंत. नुकताच त्यांनी करिअरमधला १३,५००वा प्रयोग पूर्ण करून पुन्हा एकदा सगळ्यांना अवाक् केलं, आणि याच निमित्ताने त्यांना "विक्रमादित्य" म्हंटले जाऊ लागले.

नाटकाबद्दल थोडंसं:
"शिकायला गेलो एक" हे नाटक द. मा. मिरासदार यांच्या मूळ कथेवर आधारित असून अद्वैत दादरकर यांनी दिग्दर्शित केलं आहे. गौरी थिएटर्स निर्मित आणि प्रशांत दामले फॅन फाऊंडेशन प्रकाशित या नाटकात दामले यांच्यासोबत ऋषिकेश शेलार, अनघा भगरे, समृद्धी मोहरीर, सुशील इनामदार आणि चिन्मय माहुरकर यांच्याही भूमिका आहेत.

कथेचा गाभा खूप गमतीशीर आहे - पहिल्या अंकात शिक्षक विद्यार्थ्याला शिकवायला येतो, पण नाटक जसजसं पुढे सरकतं तसतसं परिस्थिती उलटी होते आणि शिक्षकच विद्यार्थ्याकडून "जगण्याची खरी मजा" शिकतो. हलकंफुलकं, खोडकर पण तितकंच भावनिक असं हे नाटक आहे - आणि यात प्रशांत दामले यांचं टायमिंग, स्टेजवरची पकड अजूनही तितकीच जबरदस्त आहे असं प्रेक्षक सांगतात.

We’ve all seen the viral "yellow person" trend floating around social media lately - the idea that a "yellow person" is someone whose natural presence acts like pure sunshine, instantly lifting your mood and brightening up your darkest days. I was thinking about Hi Dosti Tutaychi Naay! today, and a recurring costume detail suddenly clicked in my head.

When Shashank makes his very first entry after the school-days flashback, he walks onto the stage wearing a bright, vibrant yellow kurta. Through the lens of Mansee’s arc, it’s absolute peak visual storytelling. Shashank enters her world as her ultimate "yellow person" - the anchor whose energetic presence resets her mood and brings light back into her life when things get heavy.

The real brilliance, though, comes later in the play.

After the interval, during the airport scene, Shashank appears wearing a yellow jacket - only this time, the color isn't bright or warm anymore. It’s noticeably dull and faded. That visual shift is devastatingly effective. It subtly signals that the dynamic has shifted; he no longer brings that effortless, sunlit joy into Mansee’s life, reflecting the emotional distance and weight that has settled between them.

Theatre costume design rarely happens by accident, and using the evolution of a single color to map a character's emotional impact is brilliant. It’s these subtle, deliberate cues that make live Marathi theatre so rewarding to unpack.
