Flight EWR (NY) - KEF - CDG

Hey guys I travel Saturday night from Newark to Paris with a layover of 1hr 25 min at KEF. Just wanted to know if anyone has done that trip recently.
Has it been on time? How is migration line for connections? Have you departed KEF on time as well?

Thanks!!

Overweight baggage fee at gate?

Hey guys! Just wanted to check cause I am kind of between buying a second checked bag (115usd) or risking it at the airport. Pricewise I wanted to know people who have been charged the fee at the gate or counter for overweight carryon or luggage in general how much was it? Just to see if it’s about the same.
I don’t want to carry 3 bags flying solo but if it’s a lot more I might not risk it
Thanks folks!

Merci!

Carry on purchase

Hey guys ! I am flying EWR - CDG through this airline. I need to buy a new carry on so I was wondering if anybody has a reference or link of carry on that h can purchase that aligns to the airline requirements and measurements: my idea is to get a proper sized luggage so I wouldn’t have to pay at the airport anything extra. If the reference is from any store or website in the US I’d appreciate it since that’s where I’m located atm thanks!!!
Ps if anybody has traveled recently w them from EWR I’d also love to hear ur experiences w gate control and luggage in general

Living costs

Hey guys!
So I was supposed to go study to Rennes with a loan but that’s not happening anymore so I am now trying to see if I can make it on savings + part time jobs.
My master is going to be Monday through Thursday so I’d have time everyday after 5 or full availability Friday-Saturday-Sunday.
You think that for:

  1. doing groceries to have some food at home for breakfast and dinner
  2. transportation (I know there’s like a student discount card for it)
  3. and ocasional spending like uni materials

how much one could survive on monthly?
Is it feasible to find part time jobs in Rennes?

I know perfect English and Spanish but my French is b1, other than that I have experience babysitting and serving and as medical assistant as well.

I have rent and tuition covered out of this budget. Just want to know how much approximately would be on those expenses monthly

Hey guys so I had my interview w Campus France where they initially told me that I could request my visa any time I could, even 4-5 months before of course start, of course stating my entrance date close to the start of my studies. Even they said (campus France) they recommended this due to the high volume of request they get from June on and summer time so I could process my visa hopefully early.

Now at the end of the procedure they are saying that u can’t schedule the appointment more than 3 months before the start date of school even if the entrance date is for said date (start of school) and they sent me the link to schedule in my consideration (with availability in may).

Have any of u had this issue before?

For explanation my plan is as follows:

Get appointment for may and leave to France in mid august - classes start September 1st.

I have a work trip for the US June and July and will be back mid August almost on time to leave to France so I couldn’t be back for processing a visa at that moment because of how long it would take

Help!!!

Hey guys! I am asking a lot here but my embassy page does not have any specifics on this. I know the visa picture must be 3.5x4.5 OACI rules but what regarding background? Blue, white, gray? I am going to do it soon and don’t want to mess it up and having to take more than needed.

Thanks!!
