Restaurant Recommendations?

Hey, all,

I'll be visiting with my family this summer and will be coincidentally celebrating my kid's birthday. She's a teenager but enjoys fine dining.

I was wondering if the community might have be able to steer me towards a few notable options? She's usually willing to explore various cuisines, though she prefers savory over spicy. She also enjoys different takes on poutine.

Thanks in advance :)

Netgear Nighthawk end of service advice

Hey all,

I received a notification that my Netgear router (which is supporting my home's mesh network) is nearing its end of service.

I'm looking for advice on whether it's wise to continue using the existing hardware (with Netgear Armor), or if it's best to upgrade to a new router (and consequently replace my existing mesh satellites with new ones).

When setting up my mesh network last year, it didn't occur to me that support for these products would expire and that I'd be pressured into upgrading every couple years.

Admittedly naive of me, I guess.

I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks

Quantum Fiber vs Spectrum

As many of you may be aware, Quantum Fiber (AT&T) has a cohort of aggressive salespeople regularly going through different neighborhoods frequently (and repeatedly) ringing on doorbells and pounding on doors (often, as in my case, the same homes day after day).

I had already tried to set up service with them beforehand in the wake of the numerous Spectrum outages (which are apparently widespread throughout the Orlando area).

That said, I just wanted to share that Quantum's support (at least in my experience) has actually been significantly worse than Spectrum.

So I guess it's a toss-up between dealing with monthly Spectrum outages or unreliable/unhelpful customer support from Quantum.

For those who do go for Quantum, I hope your experience is better than mine, as I've had issues with them nearly every day for the past month.

Honestly, I had no idea that another ISP could make Spectrum look good.

Amazon Shopping app won't open?

Hey, all,

Just got my Flip 7 and used smart switch to bring everything over.

However, while everything else is working well, the Amazon Shopping app doesn't load when opened (regardless if it's on the cover or internal and screen).

I've cleared the cache, cleared data, uninstalled and reinstalled, all to no avail.

This was before and after the One UI 8.5 update, so that doesn't seem relevant either.

Any suggestions (besides boycotting Amazon lol)?

Thanks in advance!

Well, I did it; placed my order to join the smart flip phone camp

After suddenly becoming awestruck after seeing a Z Flip 7 in person, my curiosity over this device and Samsung's apparently significant evolution in this area continuously increased. I'd previously seen other Z Flips, but none left such an impression.

It's been about 6 years since I've had a new phone, as I tend to keep mine for as long as I can, but ongoing charge port issues with my current slab (water got into my charge port, and though the port has been replaced twice, it's never been the same) helped reinforce this interest.

It's been a very long time since a piece of tech hardware has fascinated me

I ordered the coral red. I've seen the blue a couple times and though it looks absolutely stunning, I decided to take a gamble on coral red.

Wish me luck!

Considering a Z Flip 7, any advice?

Hey, all,

Looking to get a new phone for the first time in 6 years. My S20 FE, while a trooper, has been having intermittent charge port and battery drain issues.

I can overlook those issues and push on with the S20 FE for another year or so, thus am in no real hurry to make a big purchase.

However, I am very intrigued by the Flip 7, mainly it's form factor. I know that Samsung has presently knocked $200 off the price tag, but suppose there's a chance they'll drop the price further when the 8 is released (speculation on my part, of course).

So while I debate between waiting or acting now, I also need to figure out things like case/screen protector options.

I use a wallet case and was wondering if any of you have insights on Flip 7 wallet cases and how they blend or interrupt with the form?

Also, I've read contrasting thoughts on screen protectors: some folks insist that the default protector is sufficient, whereas others suggest a third-party protector is safe to add onto the existing layer. Any consensus on that?

Thanks in advance, and I welcome any other insights, tips, or warnings.
