Where is the Spindrift at Target Westbury

Does anyone know why Target stopped carrying Spindrift drinks? I've been there over twice over the last couple of weeks and haven't seen any supply.

Bedbugs at a Five-Star Hotel. Has Anyone Successfully Received Compensation Beyond a Refund?

Has anyone dealt with bedbugs at a high-end hotel and actually gotten meaningful compensation?

My family recently stayed at a very expensive five-star hotel, and unfortunately my wife and child ended up with an extremely bad case of bedbug bites. I’m talking dozens and dozens of bites all over their bodies. It completely ruined what was supposed to be a special trip.

To the hotel’s credit, they were apologetic and comped the stay, but beyond that they didn’t really address the broader impact. We flew halfway across the country for this trip, had to deal with the stress of making sure we didn’t bring anything home, threw out clothing/luggage items that weren’t worth the risk, and spent a huge amount of time dealing with the aftermath.

I’m curious if anyone here has successfully gotten additional compensation in a situation like this, either by escalating through the hotel brand/corporate office or by working with a lawyer to send a demand letter. Not trying to turn this into some giant lawsuit, but it feels like the comped stay alone didn’t really come close to covering the actual damages and headaches.

Would appreciate hearing how others handled it and whether it went anywhere.

Hey all, looking for some advice on structuring a deal.

I currently own my home outright (no mortgage), and I’m about to go into contract on a new home around $2.5M. My current home should sell for a similar amount, and it’s in a high-demand area with low inventory, so I’m confident it will move, just not sure exactly how quickly.

Ideally, I’d make the purchase contingent on selling my current home, but I’m not sure I’ll have that kind of leverage in this market.

So my question is: what’s the best way to handle this transition if I need to close on the new home before selling the current one?

Some things I’m trying to understand:

  • What do people typically do in this situation?
  • Bridge loans vs HELOC vs other financing options?
  • Any downsides or risks I should be thinking about?
  • How do sellers usually view non-contingent offers backed by this type of setup?

Open to any suggestions or real-world experiences. Appreciate the help.
