Wanting to explore a bit more sides of burning man this year that I likely would not find on my own. Feel like my first year there was so much mud and rain that the camp experience came second to art but would love to hear from the community about what camps they can’t forget about and can wait to revisit! (Or tell stories about!)
Hi there! I had an idea today and tried doing some research on it to see if anyone has done anything like this before and did not see any commentary on it so I wanted to ask if people have ever used shrink wrap to protect items on the Playa (I’m imagining putting shrink wrap on sensitive parts of wires on e-bikes, things of that nature, along side things in my trailer to make cleanup easier!)
I’m unsure if this would potentially turn to moop and that’s why people don’t use it? But generally coming from a curiosity standpoint and want to see if I’m missing something before I attempt to try it.

I am officially 6 months postop my preserve breast augmentation, and as someone who spent countless hours researching pages like this one. I thought it was my duty to give my experience.
For starters, I did not have much breast tissue. Victoria’s Secret would call me a 32C but I would call myself a 32B.
My entire post puberty life. I’ve definitely considered getting augmentations. I think I consulted with three doctors who wanted to do under the muscle or hybrid of some sort. I’m in Los Angeles and was always quoted between $14-$20,000 for this. No lift required just the implants.
I always ended up not going through with the surgery because even though my breasts were small, I’m an athletic woman, and I’ve heard horror stories of women not being able to work out the same after their traditional augmentation, woman that couldn’t open jars, and although a lot of people had positive experiences – this risk was not worth it to me so I decided to just stay natural.
I can’t express this enough- I never wanted huge boobs, I just wanted some cute boobs that filled out shirts. With the preserve technique, a lot of women were getting smaller implants, like less than 225 cc, and getting amazing results so I decided to look at local doctors in my area and I came across a doctor in CA I found on google or TikTok I think
When it came to the consultation process, I expressed to him everything above as well as I was really nervous to go too big. I like that his office used kind of like an AI rendering of what you would look like with different cc-so I was able to play around with a couple different sizes. Once I decided to book we’ve had agreed upon 230 cc over the muscle with the Preserve technique, but after a couple of weeks, I asked them to send me what it would look like with smaller cc and they did. (I do feel like my breast look very similar to the AI rendering by the way.)
Cost wise, I think I was quoted around 19,000? I’ve seen some girls quoting around 22. For me, the recovery timeline was worth the price, they had a care credit option which I opted for.
The day of surgery it was super smooth. I think I checked in at like six or 7 AM? Before surgery the doctor came and speak to me and I expressed to him how scared I was to wake up with breaths that were too big. He encouraged me to go with 215 cc instead. This is what I went with and to be honest I still think I could’ve gotten away with 185 and been very happy but nonetheless, I like this size I have now as well.
They used the twilight sedation for the surgery and there was no complications.
Now to the good stuff!!!
Immediately after postop things were quite tight as you can imagine! Implants are sitting really high. I was prepared for this.
******I actually think this is an important note to make, I see so many women who go to a really dark place because they’re not prepared for how crazy thing ls can look immediately after surgery. Please be prepared for, unevenness, and less than aesthetic results right out of surgery!!! But it gets better :)
Pain wise, nothing. Or I guess like 1/10. Immediately after surgery, I went to brunch with my girlfriend, and we got our nails done. It was insane how good I felt considering. I then spent the weekend moving slowly, but I was able to go about my life as normal. I work from home but was still able to work.
I never had to take a pain pill outside of ibuprofen and Tylenol, I did not have any issues sleeping and overall, it was a pretty easy surgery. (I’ve gotten a rhinoplasty as well as medical necessary procedures and this was easiest by farrrr. Laser hair removal hurt me more lol)
When I hit a week postop, I was cleared to go back to the gym lightly and by four weeks, I was fully cleared to go back to my regular routine.
I’m amazed by how quickly they “dropped and fluffed” don’t get me wrong. The first couple of days they were definitely up in my collarbone, but I remember trying on a bikini like four days after surgery and I was like…. Nice tits 😏 😂 I’ll add that at the end of the photos too.
I never feel my implants during physical activities which is so important to me. I’ve had friends that have gotten implants and it has taken them six months before they feel kind of normal at the gym so I’m really happy I opted for this procedure.
I’d be lying if I said you can’t feel the implant at all, because I had no breast tissue up top. That’s where I can feel it if I really push it but on the bottom, it is so soft and bouncy lol. In the words of my ex, “they feel so natural”. My scars are very small like maybe an inch? They’re still fading, but you can’t really see them unless I put my arms in the air.
The only thing I would’ve changed as I said earlier is I think I could’ve been happy with 185-but also 215 has proven to be easy to accentuate and easy to hide depending on what I’m going for!
I’m including photos in different shirts, and bikinis to show how easy it is to make them as big as I want or discrete as I want. I’ve had some women say I “went to small”, and I want to remind people that our goals are different! “Small” to someone is quite big to me, so when it comes to choosing your size- stick with your gut!!!! I’m glad I did :)

Can’t believe I’m finally saying this, but I’ve checked off one of my biggest bucket list items which is buying a camper! I don’t have kids and I’m not too interested in sharing my small 17 foot trailer with someone else so I wanna figure out something I can do for the bottom bunk. Obviously there’s the option of storage, but I want to hear other people’s ideas. For some insight on my lifestyle, I occasionally take this camping and it will absolutely be joining me at burning Man and other festivals. Happy to be a part of this community, but I am so excited to learn from you all.
