It sucks that Capcom chose to default to the bare minimum when their fighting game is doing well.

SFV? Gigantic pile of shit on release that Capcom was churning content out for like no tomorrow to avoid killing the franchise. It underwent tons of changes, many of which were for the better, including the removal of throw loops. Despite the netcode being putrid for the entire game's lifespan, all that work they put into SFV eventually led to an overall great game.

SF6? Immediate winner of this generation's fighting games, so that means no adding the World Tour stages to stage select, no costume codes, no zero effort additions like adding Mai's character select outfit, no updating menu functionality to give something like replays a way to filter by character matchups, no updating the atrocious UX in general, no more World Tour content, and no updating things like the Game Center so co-op is possible. Absolutely no balance changes that shake anything up because apparently SF6 players are allergic to change, despite every other PvP game doing something new with every season. Capcom won this fighting game generation, so you'll get a new DLC character that power creeps someone else once every few months, some more overpriced avatar cosmetics 99% of the playerbase doesn't care about, and no more seasonal stages because that's content you could buy with Drive Tickets.

The way this game has been handled is so wack. We've gone down the opposite road where Capcom is complacent. So much potential has been squandered because doing the bare minimum is what makes the most sense.

Couldn't care less if people play Modern, but inhuman autopilot hit confirming should not be a thing and should have been removed years ago.

I don't think a lot of people know this, but with Modern you can simply start mashing on auto combo like a caveman anytime someone whiffs a button. Why is this stupid strong? Because they get a guaranteed combo that doesn't require buffering into Drive Rush to help a normal person actually react to a light counter hit from that range. Free combo damage that would otherwise require blowing 3 bars of drive gauge for a Classic player to get, and the scaled damage doesn't matter cause it's still more than a buffered normal into a special. The even more fucked up part is that these autopilot confirms will self-correct if the opponent happened to start blocking in time, which makes this more obnoxious at ranges where you're purposely walking forward to try and make their buffered button hit you while blocking. They literally cannot be punished for this.

1f supers and specials are annoying, but at high level, this right here is probably the most broken thing about fighting Modern players in UM. I really don't understand how it's fair that this is still in the game.

Shoutouts to Capcom. Three years later and the devs still have not fixed this bug on Steam where the game continues running despite closing it.

I have to either force close it in task manager or use the Stop button in Steam. 👏

Servers crashing?

Keep getting random error codes mid match. First match was 50607-10005 R1183-AAA-AAA2. Finally logged back in and the very first match I get 50607-10005 C1082-AAA-AAA2 50 seconds into round 1.

How do I share video files from a shared folder on my Windows 11 PC to VLC for Android?

I've tried setting up a favorite SMB server. I can't get this to work. I have SMB 1.0 enabled in Windows 11.

I entered my computers static IP address into the server address field and hit ok. Then when I click the folder, it says "SMB authentication required", asking me for my username and password. My PC has a login pin but that's it. I've tried the username found in "Users" folder on my C drive. I've tried my email that's linked to the Windows account. I've tried my Microsoft password as well as the login pin with both username attempts. Nothing works. It just keeps prompting me for a username and password.

None of the Reddit posts I've looked at through a google search worked.
