HEALTH & Chelsea Wolfe - Mean (physical media?)

Just curious if anyone knows if this collaboration with HEALTH is available on physical media (CD or Vinyl).

I love this song (as I love both artists) and can't seem to find it anywhere. I know there's a deluxe version of RAT WARS on streaming with it, but I don't think a physical release exists.

I'd love to be proven wrong.

After 4 years, he finally figured out amps are warm

This fella has been living with me for 4 years. We think he's 10 or 11. Today, he learned the amp is warm.

How to reduce technical issues (advice for a friend)

Former musician here, recovering gear head.

I have friends in a new band. They're all seasoned musicians, however, this is the first time they do a project with gear they didn't normally use before. (Synths, samplers, laptops, tons of pedals, etc...).

A recurring motif of their performances are technical difficulties and it really grinds things to a halt. Otherwise it's a great band to see live.

The problem is none of them are gear-heads, in fact they're kind of Luddites.

What's a polite, non-gear-head way to suggest to them to tighten that aspect of the performance? (I don't want to suggest "buy new stuff" because I don't think that would fix things)

Apologies if this is a well worn subject.

Anyone else just listen to every album in sequence?

For the past two days I've been working hard in my home office. Figured I'd play every GYBE album. Haven't done that in a few months. (all except "lights on amp drooling")

I can't be the only one who does this... Chime in if you do and if you listen to them chronologically or if you're a monster.

Getting to hard-to-reach Volume Pot on Technics SA-series amplifier.

Volume pots on the Technics SA series amps are notorious for being hard to access to clean. I'm wondering if any seasoned techs or hobbyist know of an easy way to access the pots on these suckers. Tricks that don't involve taking the amp apart too much. (Can I take it apart? Yes. Do I want to? I rather not.)

What I've learned:

  • Straws on the Deoxit / Contract cleaner cans are in fact too short.
  • I can't seem to find longer straws that actually fit the nozzle on Deoxit cans.
  • There are videos of people completely servicing these amplifiers, however, for some reason they seem to gloss over this part in particular and instead generic instructions on how to clean a pot.
  • I've heard of techs taping two aerosol straws together, but that hasn't worked in my case.

If anyone has any helpful suggestions, I'd love to hear them. Everything else on this amp works wonderfully.

Made a trip to Goodwill yesterday. Didn't find much of anything good all winter, which isn't anything new for thrift stores. I think the winter-lull is over.

I know Cowboy Junkies is not remotely a rare find, but this is the first time that I found copies that weren't scratched to hell and back.

Lucked out and got Hot Water Music and Primus for $1.99 ea.
